Child Trafficking

Playing text to speech

Child Trafficking is the term coined for the movement of children from one country to another or within the country. Child Trafficking exploits boys and girls for numerous purposes including forced labour and sex. Child Labour and Child Sex both are heinous crimes and had a strict law against the culprits. About 1.2 million children are trafficked every year. It is very difficult to know if a child is trafficked, as there are many different ways it may happen.

There are about 215 million children are engaged in Child Labor, with 115 million of those children in hazardous works. It is very difficult to judge that the child has been trafficked because many times child also doesn’t know that he/she is being a victim of trafficking. Sometimes children are sold by a family member or an acquaintance, and even sometimes lured by false promises of education and a good job or a better life.

Child Trafficking

The reality of trafficked children is that they are exploited very badly and treated like slaves without enough food to eat or proper facility of food and shelter. A hungry child is forced to do household work or sex just to get some food to eat in return. This also leads to violence and put the child into the phase of malnourishment which slowly makes them sick and in the worst case, they may even die.

Policemen and Media are doing their bit to save the child to get trafficked but all these steps are not enough to save maximum children. The government need to be strict and pass some strict law against those who commit these types of heinous crime.

To shape up the future of our youth we need to take care of children; ignoring the point that this child is not my responsibility or don’t want to get into this problem. We can save and shape up our future by taking responsibility as an individual. We shouldn’t be supposed to think that this is not our work, and the respective person will do with whom it belongs to.

Child Trafficking

Child Trafficking could be one of the biggest concern which can hamper any city or countries image and also stops to become a smart city or a developed country. It is one of the biggest Social Issue which requires government as well as every citizen’s attention.

At last, I would like to add that Child Trafficking a serious issue and we need to work together to stop this. Every small initiative by a person can lead to a big change or makeover. This small step can save a life. Just imagine this; how big it is and what an individual can do for these children and for the child empowerment and their rights.
