Why Presidential Rule not yet implemented in West Bengal?
Playing text to speech
The Kolkata Rape case has shaken the entire nation. The whole nation is demanding justice for the lady doctor. People around the nation have been protesting against the brutal rape and murder of the lady doctor but it is getting tougher for the protestors to protest as the West Bengal government and Police have been giving the protestors a very tough time. The West Bengal police have been using tear gas, water guns etc against the protestors. The police are not leaving any stone unturned to stop the protest. The question here is how can the police force harm the protestors. Was it the right way to handle the people who were silently protesting for justice.? When will the victim get justice?
Is it this hard to get Justice in a democratic country? India? Well, I believe there is no certain answer to any of these questions Someday or the other the protestors are getting harmed either by police or by unidentified people. If media reports are to be believed recently a mob attacked the doctors in Kolkata who were silently protesting in the hospital. So much injustice is happening in Kolkata but no one is talking about it.
Many politicians, celebrities and ministers including our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu have addressed this issue and have shown their concern. The President even said in ‘Enough is Enough’. But it seems like even the President and Prime Minister are not in the mood to take any action regarding this whole incident.
If Madam President used her power and implemented Presidential Rule then the whole situation of West Bengal would have been under the control of the Central Government and the whole dynamics would have been changed. A lot of injustice is going on in West Bengal but neither the media nor the politicians are talking about it. If it had been yester times Presidential Rule would have been implemented until now keeping Kolkata’s current situation and its effects in mind.
But Why has the Presidential Rule not been implemented until now? The answer is clear if the central government would implement Presidential Rule in West Bengal this whole matter would take a political turn and it would convert the whole of West Bengal into a Battlefield where BJP and TMC would fight and start the blame game. Mamata Banerjee and her TMC and INDIA alliance will lead an unprecedented violence.
Mamata Banerjee and her party members have already been asking questions from BJP leaders instead of addressing the protestors. But What has happened to the both state and Central governments why do they always have to fight over every issue? If both State and Central Governments behaved responsibly the condition of West Bengal would have been better and the victims might have got justice till now.
The state government is not ready to do to anything in favour of the victim but the only thing that TMC and Mamata Banerjee could do is to stop protecting the culprits and the Central Government should ensure that the CBI probe happens fairly and the culprits get punished and the Victim gets the much-deserved justice. Then only this whole case can be resolved.
