Save women, protect the nation

The tragedy of the Abhaya case has ignited a fire in the minds of the people of West Bengal. This case has made Bengal’s Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, ‘The Talk of the Town’ for both her political strategies and support towards evilness. Also, on 14th August at midnight, when celebrations for Independence Day were about to commence, lakhs of women were lighting candles in demand for justice for RG Kar rape Case. 

It was not just a cry for her, but for all women who never thought they have been residing in an independent country. The march was for life, for the protection of each vulnerable individual of the uncared society having an apathetic government system in Bengal. As the banner suggested, “Meyera raat dokhol koro (Girls seize the night): The Night is Ours”.

HIGHLIGHTS: -

• As the case was brought up, the hospital and the dean of the college were trying to cover up facts.
• The case was declared a suicidal incident.
• Mamata Didi tried to make false accusations about the girl, while also trying to offer money to her parents to shut the case. 
• The body was returned to her parents when no chance of survival was there, and almost a day had passed. 
•  Moumita’s parents had to suffer a lot of harassment, and still, chances of justice are being delayed. 

Hence, under the leadership of Mamata Didi, there is intense scrutiny that points towards deeper roots. The nation is grappling with hard questions about safety measures, against the people whom Banerjee is trying to protect. Nationwide, the doctors have refused to work, severely impacting the health system, but they need the result for their protests. 

Why is Mamata Banerjee an inefficient leader?

This is the first time Didi has faced the wrath of the public in such a huge manner. The reason is that she is a woman but is unable to ensure the safety of other women in her state. To cover up her mistakes she has been blaming the opposition and she joined the protest once just to ensure she is a safe leader. 

All her party members are being questioned as to why they are protecting the devils, but none would open their mouths until they get her permission. Most of all the anger of people is against her since she has made the matter a political stem. The demands are still unfulfilled, and justice is yet to be met for the victim.
