On August 9, 2024, a 31-year-old medical trainee doctor was found dead in a bad condition having multiple injuries and spots later on which was falsely predicted as a suicide case by the Kolkata police. The Kolkata doctor rape case in which a medical doctor was brutally raped and murdered on duty at state-owned RG Kar Medical College and the body was found in the hospital by the working staff. 

This rape case has ignited a fire under the ruling chair of Mamata Banerjee and other political leaders in West Bengal who failed to control the crimes and law violations in the state. The medical professionals including others have started a protest to arrest the criminals involved in this rape case and deliver strict punishment.

Kolkata Rape Case sparked heat among the people of the nation and the protest spread in the different states, police are trying to imbalance the situation whereas the family member of the victims is looking for justice.

This one is the rarest of the rare cases in which the accused are still free from bars due to the failure of the local police agencies and state government. This case involved the various aspects that should be individually discussed in detail for better understanding.

1. The rape incident in Kolkata Medical College is a shame for all which also arises a question about humanity because the police were trying to hide the incident by making it a suicide case. Why police were making it just a suicide case? An important aspect is that the state police stated the rape and murder case was suicide. There could be the influence of the local as well as the state government so that the case could not be socialized just to save its image.
2. One of the shocking facts about this rape case is that while postmortem the doctor found about 150 grams of sperm in the victim's body and told that more than 10 persons raped her. Where the humanity exist? And also raises the question of whether they are human beings in my opinion they must not be. 
3. It's been almost 19 to 20 days since the case happened but still the accused are free from bars which also raises the question of the ability of Kolkata Police and the worse condition of law and order of West Bengal State. The law and order of the state seems sleeping under the chair of Mamata Banerjee.
4. Such cases are very prevalent in West Bengal in which women are being beaten, raped and murdered on the open street happening in the street justice case and teacher-beaten case. The condition of women is not good in West Bengal and the government failed to make it better.
5. Mamata Banerjee has focused on changing the demographic structure of the state by favouring the Muslims and Islamic religions. Supporting a particular religion misbalances the social peace and may lead to such an accident. 
6. In the state of West Bengal there is a lack of education and social support from the government due to which such a situation arises. Instead of giving fairy tale speeches and attending parties at Muslim functions, she should take care of the condition of the state.

The current circumstances of West Bengal are leading towards presidential rule in the state as the mass protest went on besides using gas bullets and water fires by the police. The democratic values of the state seem dying and this is the perfect condition when Mamata Banerjee resigns from the chair of Chief Minister of West Bengal.
