Congress Party protest against ED on summoning Rahul Gandhi is unconstitutional
Playing text to speech
The Enforcement Directorate has called on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to appear before it in Delhi in connection with the National Herald issue.
Many Congress members are holding Rahul Gandhi's placards without fear. While most demonstrators are unaware of why they have been summoned, they are shouting slogans in support of Rahul Gandhi.
Why should you be concerned when Rahul Gandhi is clean and neither Sonia Gandhi nor Rahul Gandhi has been involved in any scam?
We are seeing how a massive drama has taken place not only in Delhi but across the country in various districts because of this protester. If the enforcement directorate questions your leader, Rahul Gandhi, what does the Congress do, hits the streets?

According to the government, this is an obstruction of justice. They should allow the law to run its course. However, if you believe the law is being broken, even though the case has been in court for a long time, you may go to court and argue that a mala fide investigation exists. Even though there are bigger issues happening in India than this case, like Nupur Sharma's controversial remarks, are already aiding violence in India, and adding this will only cause more trouble.
When you go out and protest in this fashion, the assumption is that you have something to conceal, or at least that is the connotation that the government is drawing. The ED and the IT are investigating what they think is a ruse to guarantee assets are passed to the Gandhi family, and the courts have ruled that there is an income tax violation. According to Section 13a of the Income Tax Act of 1961, it is unlawful for a political party to lend money for commercial reasons. So, the principal offenses were related to income tax.
According to top congress personnel, permission was requested to sit on Akbar Road, but the police claim that no permission was granted. A massive crowd march is not permitted in New Delhi.
The Congress protestors have acknowledged being paid Rs. 500 to participate in the protest and were urged to come there and congregate in large numbers, revealing the truth behind the Hyderabad dharna. Along with the flags, there were numerous individuals standing there who indicated they had no clue what the demonstration was about. They only came to the location because they were promised Rs. 500.
According to the Congress party, this demonstrates the unity with which the Congress parties stand in solidarity with Rahul Gandhi. But many protestors seem to be dumb. They have no idea why they are demonstrating, and what they are revolting over. Hundreds of demonstrators marched from the Indira Gandhi monument to the ED headquarters, and these routes were fully closed that day because of their protest.
The employees at the party had signaled that they would launch a protest. Rahul Gandhi will also lead a satyagraha march in Delhi to protest the ED's decision. He will lead the march from his home to the office of the ED.
Priyanka Gandhi is also expected to participate in the rally. The march is likely to include Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhaghel, members of the Congress Working Committee, and prominent leaders such as Digvijaya Singh, Gaurav Gogoi, and others.
Activists are protesting in cities throughout the nation, including Jaipur, Patna, and Lucknow. Almost the entire senior leadership of the Congress party is protesting. At the AICC headquarters in Delhi, protesters were waving banners and shouting slogans.
Meanwhile, the Delhi traffic police have issued a warning, advising commuters to avoid Akbar Road, Janpath, and Mansingh Road between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Monday. According to the notice, traffic movement on certain highways would be impossible owing to specific measures.

The police have also put Delhi Congress head Anil Kumar Chaudhary under house arrest and have detained Congress members protesting Rahul Gandhi's summons by the Enforcement Directorate. As police officials attempted to arrest the head of the Indian Youth Congress, he fled. This comes against the backdrop of congressional workers protesting.
The enforcement directorate has also summoned Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi's mother, and interim Congress president, on the same matter. She has said that she is unable to participate in the investigation due to health concerns and the COVID 19. The ED, on the other hand, has assigned her the date of June 23 to join the investigation for interrogation.
