Sri Lankan people demand the boycott of Rajapaksa governing from Sri Lanka
President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa revoked the emergency of the country yesterday night within a day of declaring it. The people of Sri Lanka protested against the government and they were demanding a coup of the current government of the Rajapaksa Family in which all the family members are ruling the people of the country.
The situation in Sri Lanka turns into a crisis after the government was failed to handle the basic requirements of the people like electricity, water, and food. The current government couldn’t handle the Covid-19 Pandemic Economic destruction.
After looking into many aspects of the primary cause of such a crisis was the misbalancing of the economy of the country. In this regard, a 2019 Asian Development Bank said “Sri Lanka is a classic twin deficit economy,” it added more “Twin deficit signal that a country’s national expenditure exceeds in national income, and that its production of tradable goods and services is inadequate.”
Sri Lanka’s economy was wiped out after, the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka promised a deep tax cut during an election of 2019 that was enacted a month before the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The government pressurized the people of Sri Lanka to come out of their homes and show their anger hunger and electricity amid going on such an economic crisis. Thousands of people come into the streets and surrounded the government selected face, the tense situation gives away to an imposed emergency which was imposed by the president of Sri Lanka on April 1, 2022. This was the second time when Sri Lankan government imposed an emergency in the country because earlier it also imposed the emergency on 30 August.
Sri Lanka is receiving help from its neighboring countries China and India. A diesel shipment under a $500 million credit line was signed with India in February and it is now expected to arrive on Saturday. Both the countries signed a $1 billion credit line for importing essential goods primary to survive like bread, butter, and medicine.

Sri Lanka’s government is ruling for a past time and all the family members are representative of a government that looks like a Patriarchy in such circumstances the faith of people becomes the primary thing. Rajapaksa government fails to hold the faith of the people and which resulted in internal failure to keep balance.
In such circumstances, the sovereign authority should hold the power for a certain period and voting should be held to elect a government.
