US actor will smith slapped comedian Chris Rock during Oscar Ceremony
Will Smith slapped a comedian Chris Rock, 57 of age, later on, he resigned from Oscar Academy. The Academy said it had received the resignation letter and further it would continue to move forward with disciplinary proceedings.
A question arises in our mind, why Will Smith slap the 57 years old comedian?
As per my understanding and knowledge, Will slapped Chris when Chris joked at his wife’s action of shaving her head, who was dealing with a disease of hair fall commonly known as alopecia.
Smith, just an hour later was awarded the best actor award for his role in the movie “King Richard” in which he played the role of the father of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams.

Later on, he also apologized for his action and said in a statement “My actions at 94th Academy Award presentation were shocking, painful, and, inexcusable,” the statement said.
He further kept saying “I betrayed the trust of the Academy. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken.”
