Imran Khan no longer holds the position of Prime Minister of the country


The government released a statement stating that Imran Khan is no longer the prime minister of Pakistan. It can be read as “Consequent upon the dissolution of Pakistan Assembly by the president of Pakistan in terms of article 58(1) read with Article 48(1) of the constitution of Islamic republic of Pakistan vide Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, dated 3rd April 2022, Mr. Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi ceased to hold the office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, with Immediate effect,” the statement said.

After the dismissal of the No-Trust Motion in the Pakistan Assembly to remove the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and to dissolve the house, the apex court of the country said to keep the balance and peace of the country and barred all the institutions from taking any unconstitutional actions.


Pakistan’s political path is used to be controlled by the military power and in at current situation, it can be expected that the political turmoil is a part of the military perspective but Pakistan Army has clearly stated that the army of Pakistan is not anyhow related to internal politics of the country.

After the dismissal of the no-confidence motion, Imran Khan said in his speech “I call upon the people of Pakistan to prepare for elections,” said the then PM Imran Khan. Former Interior minister Sheikh Rasheed said about Imran Khan the Former cricketer turned politician will remain in power for more than 15 days. It can be read as “I met the Prime Minister and I think Imran Khan will remain Prime Minister for more than 5 days.

Here military of Pakistan is saying it has not any connection or any interest in what is going on in the country’s politics.

Amid the ongoing misbalances, National Security Advisor (NSA) Moeed Yusuf resigned on Monday

“Today, I leave extremely satisfied and content, most of all because I know that the NSA’s office and the NSD are vibrant institutions with an exceptional team that will continue to make Pakistan proud,” said in a tweet.
