Dried Chili (capsicum Annuum) fruit of the plant Papika to the Capsicum genus.
The fresh fruit of chili after storing for several months becomes the Dried Chili. This process involves the dry-up of the water from green chili. The greatest demand for Dry chilies in the European region which also known to be the world’s biggest importer of dry chili.
The plant is mainly native to Southern North America and the Caribbean and northern South America. The dried chili can be stored for several years and hence it is known as
Annum which means the Year.
It also has some herbal properties that are described in the Indian Ayurveda.
