An Iranian village bordering Afghanistan-Iran is unique in itself. This village named Makhunik is called the village of Dwarfs (Makhunik, the village of little people in Iran). About 200 years ago, almost the entire population of this place was so small that everything from their home to other necessities was also made very small.

Even today, many houses in Makhnik look like miniature houses. Although the height of the people here has increased slightly, but even then they are still less than the average height. Know, what is the secret of this village of dwarfs.

In the year 2005, the name of the village became the headlines of the international media, when a mummy was found during the excavation there. Its length was only 25 centimeters. Earlier too, it was discussed many times that Iran would have lived in this village two or three hundred years ago.

Gradually, physical development began to decline in them and then the village was filled with people of low stature. 

Due to being barren, there was no movement of people in this area, so there was no means of traffic. That is, it could not have happened that the people of the village could go out and bring good food and drink.

Roads were built to this village in the middle of the twentieth century. After this, the people of the village connected with the outside world and came to the city and started employing them. In this way catering to the people of the village improved and gradually their stature also increased. 

There is a lot of mercury in the water in the village and the surrounding area. Due to this also the height was affected and the height of the people decreased. Now, after joining the cities and changing the food, physical development has taken place but till now the people of the village are below-average height. In this village called Lilliput of Iran, as reported by the BBB, there are about 200 houses. Of these, about 80 houses are still such, in which only 2 to3 feet people can live. All the items of household needs are also small there. 

Homes here are becoming very popular in Iran at the moment. They are inspired by the houses of the Neolithic Era. Let us tell you that this period was just before the end of the Stone Age, when humans had even learned to build houses and do farming.

The houses are made of clay and tile, with minimal windows. There is not a single window in any house. Experts believe that this must have been done to avoid the weather. 

People have started moving out of this barren village since the transport started, but even then there is an economic crisis. Due to drought, there is no farm work, nor is there any other employment. This is the reason why the youth here started to visit the cities of Iran.
