Kolkata Doctor Rape Case; Why Mamata Banerjee is Inactive

Playing text to speech

What Mamata Banerjee Did on Kolkata Rape case is the right way to handle the situation? And how much time will it take to get Dr. Moumita Debnath the justice that she deserves?

Kolkata Rape Case was an incident that shattered the entire nation. An incident happened on 9 August at the R.G. Kar Medical College Kolkata, where an on-duty trainee lady doctor was brutally raped and killed. It’s been almost a month since this incident happened, but the victim’s family is still waiting for justice. Not only the victim’s family but the whole nation is waiting for justice.  People around the nation are protesting against this horrifying incident in different parts of the nation. The protestors are filled with anger against the accused.

The protests are still going on because everyone is still waiting for the right judgment. The case is in court now and CBI has been investigating what exactly happened on that night. CBI has arrested Sanjay. Roy, the main accused, and R. G. Kar Medical College head Dr. Sandip Ghosh. CBI has conducted the polygraph test of the accused, in which he made several revelations. Whereas the victim’s father has made so many claims against the Kolkata Police. The victim’s father attended the protest for the first time and claimed that he had to wait for hours to collect her daughter’s body.

while the postpartum was going on and a large police force surrounded them and tried to exert pressure on them. They were even forced to leave the police station. After that, when they got the body. The family members wanted to keep the body at home for some time, but the police officials were forcing them to perform the last rites as soon as possible. He also told me that till the time the body was confirmed, there were around 400 police officers around them, but after the ceremony, the police officials were there with them.

The father of the victim also said that when he went to the crematorium, he found out that the expenses there were made free. Who did this? They have not been able to find out to date who will answer this question.” He even claimed that one of the police officials even offered him money to hush up the case. What is all this? A crime is been committed, and instead of finding the evidence, this is what the police force is doing.  The whole incident not only raised questions for the Kolkata police but also raised a lot of questions against West Bengal‘s CM and TMC head Mamata Banerjee and her government.

Mamata Banerjee has always been in the news for her controversial statements and fierce opinions. but this time she has taken a back seat. Mamata Banerjee has a history of turning adversity into advantages, but this time it seems tough for her and her party to handle this situation as not Only the people of West Bengal but the people of the whole nation have been protesting against her and her party as well. Everybody is raising their voice against TMC and Mamata Banerjee.

People ask Mamata Banerjee why Mamata is not taking any action and why she is still quiet because Every time anything happens Mamta Banerjee is the first one to present her opinion, but now what has happened to her being a woman, being the CM, she must have taken strict action against the accused, but this time she seems a little slow. Is she saving the accused? Or is she scared?

Or does she know who is behind all this? Only Mamata Banerjee can answer all these
questions.

But after seeing all the protest and anger against her, Mamata Banerjee is finally awake, or we can say it is just a publicity stunt to gain back public trust as she recently introduced a bill against rape, which will make rape a crime commensurate with murder for which punishment will be death or life imprisonment.

She said a new law called Aparajita will be introduced, which will ensure fast-track investigation and stricter punishment. While talking About this bill, she also targeted the BJP and PM Modi over other rape cases that happened in the country.  But the question is, will this bill be able to get Mamata Banerjee her respect back, which She has lost after her take on this whole case? Will she be able to gain public trust again?

But the biggest mystery remains unsolved: why Bengal Police and TMC head reacted so casually and slowly on this whole incident. Why did it take so much time for the Mamata Government to speak about this case?  Why did West Bengal Police behave like this with the victim’s family? Why did West Bengal Police harm the protestors? There are so many unanswered questions.

This whole case has become a mystery. The victim’s family and millions of protestors, Women and doctors have their eyes on the CBI probe and the court’s verdict. How much time Will it take to get Dr Moumita Debnath the justice that she and thousands of women in our country deserve every month a rape is happening in our country and the victims don’t even get the real justice?

There are an end number of cases in the court that are still pending, and the victims are still waiting for justice while the accused are living freely. Why it has become so hard to get justice in a country like India where women are worshipped? It is high. time that every individual should raise their voice against the crimes that are happening against
women in our country, then only we will be able to have strict rules for crime against women.
