What is an Infusion pump?

An infusion pump is a medical device used to deliver body fluids or drugs into a patient's body. Infusion pumps were used in the late 1960s. These types of pumps deliver controlled amounts of nutrients and drugs to the patient's body. They can be operated mechanically or electrically.

How is the infusion pump used?
Place the patient at the bedside and review the patient's medical history before administering any medications. Then, to use the infusion pump, follow these steps:

First, consider the type of drug, the amount of drug, and the time of administration.
Check if the patient is allergic. Get patient permission
Do not use it if the syringe or bag is contaminated.
Remove the drug pack
Hang this bag in the water drop standard
Install the power supply and turn off the power control (including beam clips)
Break the lid of the bag
Enter gate tips (do not touch this advice)
To press and release the beam to remove the liquid from a particular device
Check if there is no bubble
Catch the ball
Wash the hands and wear gloves gloves
Clean the hub with a cleaning cloth and rinse the cannula with the salt solution.
