A 24-year-old boy killed a proficient writer Salman Rushdie for publishing the so-called controversial novel “The Satanic Verses” after reading only two pages of the novel.

 

Salman Rushdie was an Indian-origin writer who published many books in different categories but one of his books named the Satanic Verses, published in 1988 gets more fascinated after banning by the Indian government during Rajiv Gandhi’s rule in which some of the lines were said to have blasphemous character against the Islamic Prophet Mohammad.

The text gets roamed all over the world and after reading the bitter truth about their prophet’s debouched behavior, Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini, the former Iranian leader issued an Islamic fatwa in which he urges the Muslims to kill him. 

 

The killer of Sir Salman Rushdie,Hadi Matar assumed Rushdie was the enemy of Islam and he also said Rushdie was not a good man that’s why he does not have to live. His statement regarding Rushdie was- 

“I don’t like the person. I don’t think he’s a very good person. I don’t like him over very,” he also referred to a paper and said, “He’s someone who attacked Islam, he attacked their beliefs, the belief systems.”

 

When he was asked by the reporters about the incident in which he stabbed the author of “The Satanic Verses” he blamed Rushdie as the killer of the Islamic sentiments and also defame the prophet Muhammad in his book published in 1988.

 

When reporters asked Hadi whether he read the novel or not he replied ‘Yes’ he read only two pages of the novel and for the rest of the novel listened to the terrorist of Islam. He was living in the state of the illusion of Islamic sentiments.

Youth are living in the illusion of Islamic teachings given by their Maulanas in the masjid due to which the extremism has reached its apex in recent years. 

 

Without knowing the nature of writing, how any youth can kill any author of the text, it’s like the worst illegitimacy is being practiced in the world and such perpetrators are mostly related to Islam which reveals the unhidden face of the specific religion.
