ISLAMIST EXTREMISTS BRUTALLY BEHEADED A MAN IN UDAIPUR AND THREATENED PM MODI

On Tuesday, two assailants beheaded a tailor named Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in broad daylight for reportedly endorsing banned BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma online. Recently, he received threats because of his social media posts.

In an internet video footage, one of the alleged attackers claimed to have decapitated the victim before threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the same knife. The attackers made indirect reference to Nupur Sharma, a BJP leader who was expelled from the organisation for a comment she made against the Prophet Mohammad.

In Udaipur, Rajasthan, unrest and demonstrations have been provoked by the brutal execution of the tailor by two men who recorded it and boasted about exacting revenge for an insult to Islam.

The accused reportedly belonged to extremist organisations that only want peace via violence.

Riyaz Attari, 38, of Bhilwara, and Ghous Mohammed, 39, of Udaipur, beheaded tailor Kanhaiya Lal with knives for endorsing former BJP leader Nupur Sharma's statements on the Prophet Mohammed. The knives were made for butchering by Attari, a welder, long before the Prophet's comments controversy.

Following their murder of the tailor in Udaipur for allegedly advocating blasphemy, they were both detained by the Rajasthan Police in Rajsamand while they were en route to film another video at the Ajmer Sharif shrine. Within their WhatsApp group, the two Islamists had already shared the murder footage, which quickly went viral following the heinous incident. The two very radicalised Islamists also made threats against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the murder video.

The two suspects were interrogated, and it was discovered that they belonged to the Sufi-Barelvi branch of Sunni Islam and had strong ties toDawat-e-Islami in Karachi. Although the two were self-radicalized, counter-terrorism investigators are attempting to determine whether they had any connections to other extremist Sunni groups in India, especially those with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. The two have been detained under the UAPA, and the National Investigation Agency has been given the case (NIA).

Dawat-e-Islami, founded in Karachi, seeks to promote Shariah over the world by disseminating the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. It has a sizable following in Pakistan and is dedicated to defending the Islamic Republic's blasphemy legislation.

The brutal killing in Udaipur has raised concerns within the domestic security establishment because crime in India is increasing as a result of Islamic radicalization and because neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are unable to contain the spread of political Islam in the Indian subcontinent.

While the government has chosen to take a tough approach against the country's growing radicalization, it also believes in arming moderate Muslims who do not take the law into their own hands.

The Home Ministry is also closely investigating the incident in Udaipur to determine whether the suspects had any ties to the radical Popular Front of India (PFI) movement.

In India, the once Kerala-based PFI has grown quickly and is now present throughout the whole nation under the guise of a Sunni revivalist movement.

On Wednesday, the home ministry ordered the National Inquiry Agency (NIA) to take over the investigation into the savage murder of a tailor in Udaipur and look into any organization's participation and any connections to other countries.

The killing of someone so brutally is a heinous crime. Strict action should be taken against such people. Brutalism in the name of religion is just outrageous. Humans created religion, not the other way round. So how can we in the name of religion murder someone so brutally? India is a free country where everyone has the right to express or speak their opinion. RIGHT TO EXPRESS! Not the RIGHT TO MURDER someone!! Right to freedom doesn’t mean that one can be allowed to do such a crime.

Humans have come a long way since their origin. Earlier ones were not so civilized, but we are! we are civilized people. We should know and handle things with peace and not violence. Violence is not a solution. Violence only ignites more violence. And this gruesome act of violence just proves that these people are not capable of being a part of this civilised society.

India is a secular country. We live with peace and inter-communal harmony. Butchering people of other religions in the name of community or religion is just abhorrent.

No religion encourages violence or hatred. Then how do we in the name of that same religion act on violence and hatred? Isn’t that a punishable sin? This mindset of terrorism and hatred and violence will only promote more such crimes. This needs to end. Government and police should take some serious action regarding this. Not just them, but also common people, who should know that religion is to spread love, peace and harmony rather than hatred or violence.

India is home to several religions. Even if not everyone adheres to them, people nonetheless learn to appreciate them. Although the majority of people in India are Hindu, we have learned to appreciate and honour different religions and ways of life, even if we don't practise them. We never killed someone simply because they made a remark about our religion. We never attacked anyone just because they agreed with those critics of our faith. Then why do the Hindus always have to bear the consequences?

This act of violence is just outrageous.

That young man had his entire life ahead of him, and those two men went on to murder him because they didn't share his viewpoint?

His family wasn't even a thought in their minds. What about them?  How will they survive?

We are aware that not everyone has the same opinions. However, it does not follow that we will penalise someone just because we disagree with them. In our nation, expressing your beliefs or opinions is not illegal. And it is a shame to mankind if individuals are being punished for that in such a harsh way. Violence is never acceptable! Everyone needs to wake up after this incident. Put an end to the crime committed in the name of religion!
