Udaipur murder accused sent to 14-day custody, people demand they be hanged!

Playing text to speech

On Tuesday, the nation witnessed a shocking turn of events when a Hindu tailor in Udaipur, the city of lakes, was beheaded in broad daylight for showcasing his support for the suspended BJP leader, Nupur Sharma. Though he received several threats for his social media posts, this beheading has left the entire nation shocked to the core. This shocking event has created a public outcry. Reacting to this horrific and brutal killing, people all across the nation demanded they be given severe punishment, preferably a death sentence.

Kanhaiya Lal, whose horrifying murder horrified the country, was cremated on Wednesday in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in the presence of a sizable crowd who shouted for the execution of the accused.

The murderers of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan, Mohammed Ghous and Mohammed Riyaz, were produced before the Udaipur district court on Thursday. The two Islamists who pretended to be customers in order to murder Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor by trade, were given a 14-day jail term by the court.

The murderers didn't seem to have any regrets when they were taken before the magistrate. According to reports, several incensed lawyers protested against the two on the court's property and chased after the police car that was taking the assailants.

Mohammed Ghous and Mohammed Riyaz were each given a 14-day jail term, but the killers' lawyers in Udaipur have rejected to represent them.

They asserted that the pair's deed was strange and couldn't possibly be justified.

Kanhaiya Lal's relatives criticised the state government and asserted that it was biased against Hindus and in favour of Muslims. Every day, Hindus are killed, but no one seems to care. But according to a statement made by Kanhaiya Lal's sister, the government would support Muslims if anything were to happen to them, even in the slightest degree.

There is no pardon for such a horrific crime. The police did a superb job and swiftly apprehended them. But if they won't be held accountable for their crimes, what good is that? Everybody is furious. They're being kept in custody for 14 days! How does that treat the loved ones and friends of Kanhaiya Lal? They ought to have received punishment right away. They should have been turned over to the public or the government or police should have taken action. But sending them to custody isn't right.  What good will that do? The only difference is that these murderers will be spared punishment by being granted extra time. This just served to feed public outcry for justice for the victim and his family.

Arresting them alone would be useless. They ought to have received severe punishment right away for this horrible act. but, the court takes them into custody instead! treating them like regular criminals when they ought to have been found guilty right away. This raises serious concerns about the rule of law in our nation.
