The Real Idea Behind "Akhand Bharat"
Playing text to speech
The rebirth of the Indian Subcontinent is not new. It has been a dream of several generations for centuries. The idea of Akhand Bharat was most forcefully propounded by Swami Vivekanand in 1893 at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago.
But the idea that an Insular India comprising all countries inhabited by Hindus or ethnic Indians is both impractical and utopian has gained ascendancy during this entire period through the propaganda carried out by its detractors with great success.

The seminal work on 'Akhand Bharat' revived this lost worldview, which has emerged as one of the greatest unifying forces for Hindus in our times. It also attempts to link Hinduism with other indigenous faiths like Sikhism and Buddhism thus creating a religious geopolitical bloc.
The book has been well received by the public and has sold more than a hundred thousand copies. Swami Vivekananda's exposition of the idea of Akhand Bharat is based on the Vedic concept of 'Rashtra' or 'Great India'.
This is not an attempt to create a Hindu Rashtra, but to revive the Vedic ideal of the spiritual and cultural unity of all Indians. The great seers and sages of India have always envisioned an Akhand Bharat where people of all faiths live in peace and harmony.
It is this vision that we need to revive and build on in these times of great turmoil and change. The idea of Akhand Bharat is more relevant today than ever before.

The idea of Akhand Bharat is more relevant today than ever before. We need to work towards creating a strong and united India based on our shared cultural values and traditions.
Only then can we become a force to be reckoned with in the global arena. Let us pledge to work towards the realization of the dream of Akhand Bharat and create a brighter future for all Indians. Jai Hind!
Can 'Akhand Bharat' be possible?
There has been a lot of debate over the feasibility of creating a unified India based on shared cultural values and traditions. Critics argue that it is impractical and utopian to expect all the countries inhabited by Hindus or ethnic Indians to unite into one nation.
They claim that the differences in language, culture, and religion will always prevent such a union from happening. However, there are several examples of countries that have successfully united under a single banner despite their differences.
The European Union is a good example of this. It comprises 27 different countries with diverse cultures and languages, but they have all united under a common banner. The same can be said of the United States of America.
It is possible for different countries to come together and form a union. However, this will only happen if all the countries in question possess a strong sense of national identity. In order for Akhand Bharat to be possible, all Hindus need to develop a common vision and work towards achieving it.
In fact, this is already taking place due to the efforts of Hindu organizations like RSS and VHP. They have been able to unite various groups under a single banner through their strategic planning and coordination. This has enabled them to become a force to reckon with in the political arena today.
It is only a matter of time before they are able to seize power formally from within India or from other nations where Hindus live as minorities. Once that happens, there will be no stopping Akhand Bharat from becoming a reality.
So, the answer to the question of whether Akhand Bharat is possible or not is a resounding yes! It is only a matter of time before it comes to fruition.
The task of creating a unified India based on shared cultural values and traditions falls upon us Hindus today. Let us work towards this noble goal and create a brighter future for all Indians.
Jai Hind!
