Pakistan: A Hub of Terrorism

Pakistan has long been labeled as notorious for harboring terrorism with any number of state-supported groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. Its Inter Service Intelligence or ISI has been indicted for terrorism in India and Afghanistan; hence a terrorist state. This is evident by the fact that the country harbours terrorists in spite of the international resolution passed against its sovereignty. The world should not view Pakistan as a nation that suffers terrorism from elsewhere but as a country that surreptitiously sponsors terrorism that has a domino effect all across the region.

False Victimhood, Real Aggression

Pakistan tries to remain innocent while it actively continues to export terror. There is no event ranging from the 2008 Mumbai attacks to Pulwama in which its hand has not been seen. He uses proxy wars to exhaust India while stretching his tongue complaining about oppression. The irony is that while the country is asking for aid from other nations, it is supporting jihadists at the same time. The South African government must open its eyes and see that this is a two-faced policy. The world can no longer afford to accept Pakistan’s blackmails and turn a blind eye towards state-sponsored terrorism that it supports.

Economic Collapse Proves Terror State’s Failure

Terrorism has proven to be a significant problem to Pakistan’s economy because of its obsession on it. Rather than pursue the development of its people, it spends money on funding insurgents in Kashmir and Afghanistan. Currently, It’s bankrupt and depending on the IMF grants and the ruling military junta is pampered with all kinds of wealthy and power. This is a clear indication that terrorism cannot be used as a method rather it is a clear suicidal acts. The world should stop funding Pakistan until it is ready to eliminate the terror factories or let Pakistan and its extremism go down to the sink.

Global Isolation: The Only Solution

Pakistan must inevitably become the most diplomatically and economically ostracized country. The FATF grey list was just the first step, the proper measures are required now. As such, trade bans, arms embargoes and bans on travel by its leaders should also form part of it. The Pakistani nation must change its course on terrorism like a pariah state or continue to be treated as one by other nations. Where it has failed to change, it should be allowed to collapse from the inside. The world cannot allow a state that harbours the recipe for anarchy to continue behaving like a helpless victim.

India’s Path to Dominance Over Pakistan

India needs to counter this threat from Pakistan actively. The enhanced military blows, covert and covert operations, cyber power potential can sever terror networks in Pakistan. Sanctions that target it economically by cutting off its trade routes and supporting Baloch separatists will put this Country on the edge. The foreign policy strategies should make it possible for Pakistan to be diplomatically isolated all over the world. This is something that India can do by leveraging its economy and military power thus enabling the Indian state bring down Pakistan or force the latter to sue for complete surrender something that would effectively halt the jihadist aggression India has been facing for well over three decades.
