Street 750: Perfect for Urban Rides
Harley-Davidson Street 750 is unique for Indian roads and particularly city roads. The 749cc V-twin motor should be more than adequate for city riding and light touring. Some of the most outstanding features that come with the bike include light weight that enhances its maneuverability in traffic; a comfortable sitting position that makes riding enjoyable. It is one of the cheapest Harley models available in the market with a price tag of around ₹5.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Riders looking for a quality motorcycle with reasonable price and comfort can look forward to the Street 750.
Fat Boy: Iconic Design and Power
The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy is a model that will turn heads and get attention, due to design and muscularity. It boasts of a Milwaukee-Eight 1868cc engine which is highly capable of giving an excellent power, perfect for extended highway touring. Due to the heavy structure and firm behavior of the bike, it can easily ride on highways of India comprehensively. However, the on-road price of its starting model is approximately ₹20,49,000 (ex-showroom), which places it in the premium class. All in all, for those listeners who care about style, power and unrivaled presence on the road the Fat Boy is an excellent choice although this motorcycle is not the best one for the daily urban ride.
Iron 883: A Blend of Style and Performance
The Harley-Davidson Iron 883 is an example of the latest model Harley with traditional Harley look and a touch of new age performance specs. It also has a features-rich FL 883cc Evolution engine that delivers both power and efficiency for city roads or highway touring. The bike has a small built and low seat that ensures that the least required strength is used when riding it. It is available at the price of ₹11.99 lakh (Ex-showroom) which puts it at the mid-segment but the build quality and features offered are more luxurious than what you would get from sub-15 lakh cars. For those desiring a comfortable and stylish commuter with a sports tourer that is adequate for Indian roads, the Iron 883 is an ideal model.
Forty-Eight: Raw Power for Short Rides
The Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight, has been priced at ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and has a 1200cc Evolution engine housed in a lightweight chassis. In particular, it is famous for the fat front tire and peanut fuel tank and the imposing muscular power. It is a city bike that makes short commutes to and from work, short distance rides during the weekends, and any activity requiring a lot of low-end torque output. However, the small tank capacity which is 7.9 liters is a disadvantage in a sense that it is not very suitable for long distance use. The low height of the seat is 710 mm, and the forward position of the foot controls gives the rider confidence especially in traffic. As some may infer, it is best for those who want a bike that has maximum attitude and lots of power in shorter bursts of power and torque – the Forty-Eight stands for character rather than comfort.
Roadster: Sporty and Dynamic Cruiser
The Harley-Davidson Roadster has additional features and a slightly more aggressive riding posture, something that is likely to make it attractive to those riders who are looking to have more fun, ride hard and in aggressive positions. It is moderately powered by a 1200 cc Evolution engine, and can perform well when doing stunts in cities or highway suburban runs. This is according to the adaptability of the bike to the rider and body posture and great suspension that is suitable when traveling for long distances. This bike comes for roughly ₹12.95 lakh (ex-showroom) and can be categorized as a sports bike suitable for enthusiasts. If you’re looking for a Harley developing sporting character with cruiser aesthetics, the Roadster would be a good bet on the Indian roads.
