Similar to how Pakistan has been accused of hosting Islamist insurgents, the same Khalistani groups have been hosted in Canada today. The parallels are striking. The government of Pakistan, especially, has remained unmoved by extremism as a concept, letting some groups act recklessly. Now we see the same picture in Canada: a weak response to Khalistani violence makes it increasingly worrying with Hindus.

The Inaction of Authorities

Perhaps one of the most infuriating things about this is that Canadian authorities are not even doing anything. The government has come out to give statements against the violence that is being perpetrated, but very little has been done towards ensuring that the offenders are brought to book.

The more the Hindu community in Canada continues to experience a new wave of immigration and become Canadian residents, the more they develop a feeling of being endangered. The message is clear: If we do not punish these attackers, then the cycle of attacks will continue.
