In a virtual service on Sunday, PM Narendra Modi introduced nine Vande Bharat trains, which will upgrade travel among strict and places of interest in 11 states.
These states incorporate Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat, adding to further developed network. As per him, the foundation development has effectively met the cravings of 1.4 billion Indians.
Alluding to the trains as India's "new power," he expressed that the fast speed of foundation improvement lines up with the desires of 1.4 billion Indians. As of now, occupants of Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat will approach the accommodation of Vande Bharat Express trains.

The Prime Minister has announced that in addition to the existing 25 Vande Bharat trains, nine more will be introduced. The Vande Bharat trains are experiencing a steady increase in their popularity. More than 11 million passengers have already journeyed on them," he stated.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the introduction of these nine Vande Bharat Express trains will greatly enhance connectivity within India, fostering an upsurge in tourism across the country. He further emphasized the ongoing renovation of stations during the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal'.
- Kerala will soon welcome its second Vande Bharat Express, significantly reducing travel time between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram to approximately 8 hours and 5 minutes over a distance of 574 kilometres.
- The Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat train is set to establish a connection between Patna and Howrah in about 6 and a half hours, with ticket prices projected to be Rs 2,650 for AC executive class and Rs 145 for AC chair car.
- The Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat train is set to improve connectivity in the region by making stops at Tatanagar, Muri, Purulia, Chandil, and Kharagpur along its route.
- Indore-Jaipur Vande Bharat: Enhancing rail connectivity between Indore and Jaipur, a new Vande Bharat Express route will be introduced, providing improved transportation between these cities.
- The Vande Bharat Express connecting Bengaluru and Hyderabad will complete the 610 km journey in an efficient eight and a half hours, making scheduled stops at Mahabubnagar, Kurnool City, Anantapur, Dhone, and Dharmavaram.
- The journey from Tirunelveli to Chennai will be completed in under eight hours, resulting in a shorter travel duration.
- The Chennai-Vijayawada train promises a faster travel time of six hours and 40 minutes, covering a distance of 516.6 km.
These new enhancements to the Vande Bharat Express network intend to transform rail travel in India, offering improved connectivity between states and key destinations. Additionally, they aim to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers by providing faster and more efficient services.
The Prime Minister stated that India, with a sense of assurance, is diligently addressing both its current and future requirements. He introduced two significant initiatives for promoting efficient infrastructure development and cost reduction in transportation and exports, which are the PM Gatishakti Masterplan and the New Logistics policy. He further discussed the importance of multimodal connectivity, highlighting the need for one mode of transportation to complement and enhance other modes. He mentioned that the purpose of this is to enhance convenience for the general public when it comes to traveling.
Emphasizing the significance of railways in everyday lives, the Prime Minister expressed his regret over the prior disregard for this crucial industry. Expanding on the current government's initiatives for improving Indian Railways, the Prime Minister revealed that this year's railway budget is eight times greater than the budget allocated in 2014. Additionally, efforts are being made to expand, electrify, and establish new routes, he further mentioned.
