The Founder of the Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav died at the age of 82 on October 10, 2022, due to multiple organ failures, admitted at Medanta Hospital, Gugrugram.
Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to the Hospital on August 22 and was shifted to the ICU chamber on October 2. His condition became more critical when he was admitted to the ICU and also was being treated by a comprehensive team of specialists.
In his lifetime he secured a revolutionary political instance in the history of the politics of Uttar Pradesh. He blazed a new trial by putting backward castes at the center of Uttar Pradesh politics and also he has served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh three times (1989-91, 1993- 95, 2003-2007).
In his political life, he also held the Defence Portfolio at the time of the United Front Government in 1996, he also had a great chance to be chaired as the Prime Minister of India when coalition politics was the order of the day and regional parties wanted to be more than just Kingmakers.
Samajwadi Party informed the people by quoting the saying of Akhilesh Yadav’s statement “My respected father and everyone’s Neta-ji has died.”
Many politically known faces gave their tribute to the Neta-Ji and of them, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi also wrote “Mulayam Singh Yadav’s death pains me; he was a remarkable personality and was widely admired as a humble and grounded leader.”

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh also pays his tribute to the Former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh and declared a three-day state mourning in the state.
His service as the Defence Minister of India was extraordinary and he worked for a stronger India. “His Parliamentary interventions were insightful,” Said Narendra Modi.

Born (1939) : Saifai village, District Etawah, Uttar Pradesh.
1967: Started his political career by entering the UP assembly for the first time from Ram Manohar Lohia’s Sanyukt Socialist Party.
1977: Sworn in as Minister for the first time
1980: Elected as the Lokdal State President
1982-1987: Member of the Legislative Council and Opposition Leader in the Council
1985- 1887: State President of Janta Dal.
1989- 1991: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the first time
1993- 1995: CM of UP second time
1996: Becomes Defence Minister, Representing Mainpuri for the first time
1998: Lok Sabha Member again from Sambhal UP.
1999: Made MP again from Sambhal, UP
2003: CM of UP for the third time
2003: Wife death, Marries Sadhna Gupta.
2004: Made MP from Mainpuri
2007: Opposition Leader in the UP state assembly
2009: Made MP from Mainpuri
2014: MP from Azamgarh and resigns from Mainpuri.
2019: Represented Mainpuri after becoming MP for the seventh time
2022: Passes away at Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital
