Pandit Lata Mangeshkar, the nightingale of India has emerged with the five elements. 


“I won’t stop singing when I die my music will go with me” the famous word was narrated by Lata Mangeshkar. The above line is expressing the fantasy she has for singing.

Indian Singer Lata Mangeshkar left her body on Sunday as she has been suffering multiple organ failure, pneumonia, and Covid-19 for the last month and was admitted to Breach Candy hospital Mumbai. The demise of the Melody Queen has the great intensity of sorrow that tremored the heart of Nation. She was the personality who is known for her melody voice that’s why she is known as the voice of Bollywood.

She lived 92 years magnificently. She was born on 28th September 1929 in the city of Indore, her father was a singer, producer of musical plays, and theater actor. She was the eldest of her five siblings.


She was a lady full of enthusiasm and passion for music, including this she has a passion for cricket. Mangeshkar’s songs have a uniqueness of passion and pain which enthralled the world. She was a car lover and had a love for the slot machines of Vegas.


Her songs were more than just words with some instrument voice as whenever I listen to them every time attracts my heart and ties it with her singing. By the way, every song of Lata Ji was close to my heart but one song that always encouraged me to deal with the difficulties was ‘ye mere Watan ke logo’ which was the tribute to all the soldiers who myriad on the war of 1962 with China.


Lata Mangeshkar loves to listen to the Radio program (Akashvani) and used to ask them to play her favorite singer songs through call.

Lata Mangeshkar was a living goddess in the form of Saraswati who used to have Vina, a musical instrument in her hands.

Her demise left the nation alone in the path of living. Her funeral ceremony was attended by many great personalities including Film stars, Sports players, Political leaders, and businessmen in Sivaji Ground, Mumbai. The President of India Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Vice President of India, Sachin Tendulkar, Shahrukh Khan, and chief minister of Maharashtra, Governor of Maharashtra, and many others has attended the bidding farewell of the beloved singer.


Central Government declared national mourning in memory of the legendary singer under which the national flag will be a little lower than it usually be. Many state governments including the Maharashtra Government has announced public holiday. Madhya Pradesh Government has announced to open a music academy and museum to honor Lata Mangeshkar in Indore.


She was not bound in a boundary of any nation and hence the whole world has filled with a feeling of deep sorrow. Nepal’s President, Bangladesh Prime minister, Pakistan Prime Minister, Sri Lanka government, the US embassy, France embassy, and others have paid tribute to the legendary singer with their painful words.

She sang her first song at the age of 9 years in public and recorded her first song at the age of 13. She started the music practice from the age of 5 with his father Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar.

She sang over 30,000 plus songs in Hindi and other languages. She was constantly providing the back life to the music of Bollywood as she was a back singer she has rooted the life the then actors. Once the S D Burman said ‘will Lata Sing? Then I am safe.


Lata Mangeshkar also known as the Swara Kokila was just because of her singing passion, she received the Highest Civilian Award Bharat Ratna Award in 2001 including many others.


She is not with us anymore but her teachings and her voice will always be with us. Indeed, we can’t revive her but instead, we can promote our children to practice the art of singing because who knows who comes in the form of the next Lata Ji.


Today these words are not enough to describe such a living life which are not among us. As she used to say that I may or may not be, but my songs will always be in the heart of people, we will always keep the fire of her music in our hearts, in our souls.
