Droupadi Murmu; First Tribal Women President of India

Murmu belongs to the Santhal Family which is a Tribal community of Jharkhand, India. This is the first time in Indian History that any Tribal personality is being elected as the President of India in the75 years of its Independence

Tribal community has always been disclosed from the well professional society and rare of them as Droupadi Ji can be seen.

One Tribal, Birsa Munda was a great known personality who addressed his community to the country. It also sounds good when any personality comes into the light of the nation as the President of India.

The effort of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar resulted in a great victory for such a community after looking his member became the first and foremost citizens of India. India has several communities belonging to the Tribal but some of them are known in the list of the government and the rest are still not visible to us.

We as human beings should understand the dignity and esteem of every human being but sometimes it may not be easy to look at it in practical view as we may find 2 to 4 students in our Universities and Colleges who belong to the Scheduled Tribe and the rest seat gets vacant. This is the bitter truth of our society. We should give them a healthy atmosphere and proper care so that they might involve with us.

In India, the Election is the method by which any Government including the Prime Minister is selected. Even the Executive body of India i.e. President and Voicer President also gets selected on the basis of the electoral process that is specified in the Constitution of India.

Droupadi Murmu is the former Governor of Jharkhand and during his executive work, she opposed and returned the Land Bill in 2017 and asked the government to clarify how the amendments would benefit tribes.

She was born in the Santhal family in 1958 she completed his studies years from Ramadevi Women’s College and present time it is known as the Ramadevi Women’s University in Bhubaneswar. She was a very bright student in her class and also has some political skills such as Public Speaking and Leading qualities.

Murmu’s journey as a political leader started when she won an election to the Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat in 1997. She was selected for the two-term in the Odisha Assembly in 2000 and 2004 and she also served as a minister in the government under Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

She represented the face of the Tribal Community in India and proved that India and its Constitution respect all of its citizens.
