'Beating the Retreat' Ceremony at Vijay Chowk in Delhi

On every 29 January India held a ceremony known as ‘Beating the Retreat’ at Vijay Chauk, the formal end of Republic Day Celebration.
The ceremony has been celebrated since ancient times which also commemorates the ancient ritual of the Indian Army. The ceremony is always held just after three days of the Indian Republic Day which is on 26 January of every year.
The celebration of Republic day started from the date of 23 or 24 January to 29 January, the whole weak of celebration is used to celebrate by different programs in Delhi in the Rashtrapati Bhawan and near the parliament of the nation.
On this day all the services of defense that are the Indian Military, Indian Airforce, and Indian Navy present their representation of the bands and drums in a specific style in front of the head of the nation. The day is generally is the representation of the end of the Republic day celebration. The military bands used to play the Indian tune and Western tune.
The day began as the military tradition began in 17 century England when King James II ordered his troops to beat drums, lower flags, and organise a parade to announce the end of a day of combat. The ceremony was named earlier as ‘Watch Setting’ and it took place in the evening during sunset after firing a single round from the evening gun.
This beating the treat ceremony including the band and drums also has the show of 1000 indigenous drones at the Vijay Chowk. The drones showed the amazing figures in the sky with the formation of various pictures. Such a show has been only organized by China, America, and Russia, now India. India has also shown its technological power to other nations. The show was also a part of the capability of the country. The drones were made by the student of the Delhi’s Technology student and some others.
