Movies to binge watch if you love psychological thriller
As the winters are coming, everyone has their own preferences to binge watch a movie late at night tucked in bed with a hot cop of tea or coffee. If you have not watched these Psychological thrillers, you are missing on a great deal and ideas
1) Karthik Calling Karthik – This is one of the most underrated movies of the actor Farhan Akhtar. The plot revolves around the guy who gets bullied at work by his colleagues and boss and at then at home he gets bullied by his landlord. His life changes when he receives a phone call from someone named Karthik.
2) Phobia – This movie stars Radhika Apte in lead role and the character she plays develops an agoraphobia after getting assaulted by a taxi driver. There are instances of her where it looks like she is possessed but the true fate is revealed at a later stage. By now everyone is aware of the acting capabilities of Radhika Apte and her depiction of this girl is an interesting treat to watch.
3) Trapped – This movie is a treat to watch when you have to think from the perspective of a person who has been trapped in a place with no food and water. Rajkumar Rao justified the role with perfection and hence can be mentioned as one of the finest actors of this generation.
4) 100 Days – This movie brings nostalgia on the table for me because I have watched it years ago. To all those who have not yet witnessed the horror and thrill played by beautiful Madhuri Dixit, this is something which should not be missed in any manner possible.
5) Deewangi – This was also an underrated movie starring Ajay Devgan and Akshay Khanna. It revolves around a murder mystery which will later be exposed as a climax hitting the nerves. Split personality along with a friend defending another friend, many emotions can be felt while watching this movie.
6) Daraar – This movie stars Juhi Chawla and Arbaz Khan in the lead and is a chilling movie to say the least. It is a copy of a popular Hollywood flick but the protagonist and antagonist justify the role with perfect characteristic. A one time watch.
7) Darr – This is a classic movie which brought King Khan to stardom and created a rift between the then Hero Sunny Deol. Srk made this role perceivable and believable making the general public relate to him bringing the genre of psychological thrillers alive and kicking.
8) Table No. 21- The movie dealing in a game show and making the participants perform peculiar and strange tasks in order to achieve the required result, actually holds an interesting climax. A social message, impressive content and wholesome acting by the lead pair will be a treat to watch.
Some of these movies are underrated and unheard of while others have reached the peak with overwhelming successes. Even if the genre is not that appealing, these movies should be taken into consideration alone for the impressive acting intriguing and mind stimulating plot.
