Quantum Internet Might Put An End To Hacking

Playing text to speech

Security is an important issue on the Internet. Right now the cases like fraud on the internet (Fraud) are coming out, it proves that our security on the internet is not very strong. We can make work difficult for Internet hackers with just a few precautions but not impossible.

But the latest research has shown how Quantum Internet can be implemented on a large scale without changing the existing structure so that hacking will become just a history.

But amidst all the challenges regarding Internet security, Quantum Internet is a different solution. This is the data in this version of the global network or global internet will be safe, connections will be private and the concerns of stealing your information in between will become a matter of history. This new research is published in Science Advances.

In the article related to the study, researchers have talked about how to implement a quantum communication network, which is considered to be a very high level of security. Siddharth Koduru Joshi, the lead researcher of this study at Conversation, has told about his research in his article that his discovery can make quantum internet possible on a large scale and that too using the structure of current telecommunication.

Currently, encryption is the way to secure online data on the Internet. In this, the data is converted into another figure by applying a formula that can be retrieved back from a certain code which is also called an encryption key or digital key. Without this key, it is very difficult to get the original data but it is not impossible.

This encryption or formula is actually a kind of mathematical problem. If you get a powerful computer and time, the basic data can be obtained by solving it. And the truth is that all types of encryption that are being used today can be broken.

On the other hand, quantum communication, on the other hand, is made using particles of light, ie photons, which are impossible to copy according to the principles of quantum physics.

Any attempt to copy will create errors that can be easily caught. This means that no matter how clever the hacker is or whether he has a computer as powerful as a supercomputer. He cannot copy the quantum key and cannot read the encrypted message.

This concept has already been used on satellite and fiber optics cable and has also been used to send secure messages between two different countries. But it is not used for common networks or the internet because it is very expensive to implement it on a large scale or large network.

Earlier the problem with quantum communication technology was that they could communicate directly with only two devices. That is, some 56 connections will be required for the communication of 8 computers. A solution to this problem has been discovered in this research. Researchers have developed technology that allows all devices to communicate through a single centralized device.

In this technique, the central device will send a folded or entangled photon pair to the user in which one particle will be for one user. The tools of both the users share a secret quantum code after some computation and they can send the encrypted messages to each other.

Multiplexing technology can be done with many such users. In such a situation, communication is like that many people are simultaneously making video calls that are safe and private from other calls. Researchers have just done it on a small scale, but they are proud to take it on a large scale. He is confident that he will be able to see the introduction of the quantum internet in the next ten years.
