Side Effects Of Swallowing Food Is Risky For Your Health

Playing text to speech

Many people sit down to eat food, they finish the whole meal so soon that it is surprising to see. Many people have a habit of eating fast and they appear to be proud of it too, but eating fast is not right in any sense.

Scientifically, eating fast can cause many problems in a person's mental, emotional and physical health and certainly needs to be stopped. Eating more quickly can mean that you finish breakfast or lunch in less than five minutes.

Research by the American Heart Association states that eating more quickly means that there is a greater likelihood of becoming obese or developing metabolic syndrome. These two increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes and stroke.

Eating fast can cause digestive problems. When swallowing food instead of chewing it or not chewing it enough to break it into easily digested pieces, it invites many digestive problems like acidity and blotting.

Eating fast increases weight. The digestive process begins in the mouth and by eating fast food does not give enough time for saliva to break down food into simple sugars. This causes the stomach to release more acid to break down food. Increased acid can cause hunger pangs and in turn eat more food. It can also slow metabolism over time and can lead to weight gain.

The special thing is that it takes about 20 minutes for the brain to get a hint of fullness and feel satisfied. Chewing the food slowly gives the body enough time to feel that the food needs to be stopped. This is another way in which you can avoid overeating and keep weight under control.

Eating too often can cause insulin resistance and diabetes. Another negative aspect of obesity caused by eating fast food is that it increases the risk of diabetes or insulin resistance.

It seems very easy to eat, but some small mistakes related to it can cause big problems. There should be no hurry while eating food. Before eating, take care that the size of bite-size is good. Take a small bite of food. Due to this, the enzymes of saliva are not mixed properly in the food, due to which the food is not digested properly.

Keep your mind calm while eating food and concentrate on eating only. By making haste, the particles can get trapped in the airways. Before swallowing the food, chew the morsel about 15-20 times, so that the food breaks into small pieces.

Drinking two to three sips of water before meals can lubricate the mouth and food pipe and help saliva paste food faster and more efficiently. Drinking water should be avoided after or during meals. Experts recommend waiting an hour before drinking two glasses of water to prevent blotting and improve digestion.
