China has warned Norway against the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to Hong Kong democracy supporters. According to him, if Norway does this then it will have an impact on the mutual relationship between the two countries.

Let us tell you that there was a lot of tension in the relations between China and Norway even before when Norway gave the Nobel Peace Prize to Chinese human rights activist Liu Shiabo and Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Ever since the Nobel Prizes were introduced in the year 1901, it was the wish of its founder Alfred Nobel that the Peace Prize be given in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. For this, a committee of 5 people appointed by the Norwegian Parliament Storting gives peace prize.

However, no one has any facts about why Alfred Nobel gave the task of giving the peace prize to Norway and why he did not give it to Sweden. According to the Nobel Peace Prize website itself, Alfred Nobel had left no explanation or plea for this. 

One speculation is that Nobel wanted the award to be given to Norwegian writer Bornstjerne Bournsson. For this, the Swedes may not be ready, so they gave the task of giving this award to Norway. It is also an argument that Norway was the first country to talk and raise voice for the International Peace Campaign.

After this, the image of Alfred Nobel has been made in the mind that Norway will be better than Sweden. By the way, during the 1890s, Norway also talked about peace in the midst of mutual fighting in America, it also strengthened this notion, it is believed. 

However, whatever Alfred's thinking was behind giving the Norwegian Peace Prize, he had clearly said in his will - that the nationality of the candidates should not be seen while giving the award. The candidate who actually acts like a peace envoy, gets these awards even after belonging to any nation. 

Now let's talk about the recent conflict between China and Norway. So in fact, Norway talked about giving peace awards to Hong Kong democracy supporters. China was enraged at this because this movement was run there only in opposition to China. Please tell that due to the will of China, a new law has been passed in Hong Kong recently.

Under this new national security law, China can interfere directly in Hong Kong. A new National Security Office will be established in Hong Kong, which will monitor the situation there. Will gather intelligence. If this office has registered a case against anyone, it can be heard in China. 

The law also says that this office of China will work like a super watch-dog. The National Security Commission will have to be formed to coordinate with Hong Kong.

Also, have to listen to his obedience. In Hong Kong, if someone is found guilty of messing with the security law, he can also face life imprisonment. In a way, all the censorship of Communist China will now apply to Hong Kong as well. 

There was a ruckus in Hong Kong after the security law was enacted and thousands of people demonstrated. Norway was talking about giving peace awards to these protesters, to which China objected. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who visited Norway, reminded that earlier in the past the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Chinese human rights activist Liu Xiaobo and Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama (1989) tensions in bilateral relations between the two countries happened.

Now, Hong Kong's democracy supporters were awarded this award along the same lines, so diplomatic relations between countries could be severely affected.
