How Will Covid-19 Warriors Get Rid Of Mental Pressure ?

Playing text to speech

The way the Covid-19 epidemic has spread across the country, doctors and other health workers have emerged as heroes who serve not only the sick but food, sleep, rest, safety, labor, and family. They keep battling with this virus till the end, depriving themselves of basic things like meeting with.

Despite physical and mental challenges such as physical exhaustion, mental stress, health workers display amazing abilities despite handling patients' positions and feeling powerless amidst the piles of corpses.

According to a Lancet study, health workers face a variety of pressures during epidemic outbreaks, including pressure from bureaucrats and patients' relatives, lack of manpower, confusion, discrimination, isolation, patients with negative emotions, and physical and mental exhaustion. Huh.

These pressures can lead to mental health problems, such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, anger, and fear, which not only affect health workers' ability to understand and make decisions but also have lasting effects on their physical and mental health.

Not helping health workers in such a crisis can lead to many problems. Some health workers may leave work, be repeatedly absent from work, or suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, and may suffer from mental retardation of any kind.

Apart from this, health workers are also human beings like all of us, who can make mistakes under extreme stress, which will not be right for the patients. Many doctors have been posted in ICUs outside their area of expertise. The feeling of loneliness makes them sleepy when staying in separate hotels from the family, which is associated with symptoms of depression and suicidal thoughts.

The relentless rhetoric inherent in medical education separates young doctors from their families, patients, and communities. Medical training is not easy. The average doctor, after completing his training, looks around, finding his profession in ruins. In this profession, stress is very high.

Doctors are committing suicide every day. Many people are saddened by the lack of autonomy and loss of voice for it. On the whole, there is a lot of anger and frustration among doctors that despite hard work and sacrifice during training and duty, their neglect is increasing.

They have been devalued after the Consumer Protection Act and the Clinical Establishment Act came into force, especially on several fronts. The use of the word 'provider' instead of 'physician' is derogatory to doctors.

Health policy experts have wrongly placed the blame for rising healthcare costs on physicians and prompted lawmakers to find ways to further reduce physician compensation. Hospitals have fewer places for physicians to sit. If doctors complain about this, they are also described as 'greedy' by politicians, press, and fellow doctors.

Private practice is no longer profitable. It is a matter of financial stability. In addition, the costs of replacing the clinic, purchasing equipment, maintaining health records, and keeping staff to deal with authorization and billing issues have made private practice very difficult.

Many doctors ask for help, but they have no one to listen. It is said that in such a situation, the only option seems to be to end the life of some people. After all, what is marginalizing the brilliant doctors? We do not support the loot of corporate hospitals which are charging huge fees from Covid patients!
