Those times are gone when you are having a few options available on TV to watch. Now, the Television is loaded with options and sometimes it become difficult what to watch and what not. In addition to this when the Internet Connection got faster, companies such as Amazon and Netflix took the opportunity to make more options available at your smartphone as well.

Earlier watching the latest movie on Television requires a long wait, and if want to watch instantly without going to the theater the piracy was the sole option. Whereas, now the Internet changed the world and minimizes the problem of piracy near zero. But with having too many options available to watch, we waste hours changing the channel and deciding what to watch. Sometimes, this continues for too long that people get irritated and switch off the Television without watching and serial or movie.

Why is it so, that now we spend so much time in shuffling channels and spend hours without being able to choose a single show to watch? In contrast to this, Why it was much easier to watch a movie or show on TV with limited alternatives back then? 

The increased diversity in channels helps viewers to get involved and learn about various cultures. But the repetition of same episode or same type of many shows irritates the viewers and push them to stay away from Television or spending their whole time in channel shuffling. This is another reason which compels the viewer to go for online channels like Netflix, and Amazon. In this, they can just search or scroll the available options and start watching it over. It minimizes the time spend on searching for what to watch, and make user satisfy with the fewer advertisements and good video qualities.

Is it worthy of spending so much time on Television and ending up with nothing? What is the need of so many channels, when each channel group is busy with telecasting shows of the same genre and repeating the same movie every next day?

Too much available options on Television makes us more curious and always expecting something new and good. Not like these Hindi TV Serials which having a start date but no end date. They just continue the show on baseless issues and irritating the audiences. Why not go for some innovative ideas instead of this saas-bahu trend.

These, as well as many other reasons, are responsible; why viewer lose interest and spend max time in channel shuffling and ultimately end up with nothing.
