India Must Erase Terror Camps Across the Border

Eliminate Terror Camps Immediately

India is confronted by cross border terror camps that train militants to perpetrate attacks on our land. Military and intelligence operations target radicalization hubs that must be destroyed. Genuine efforts to reduce state-sponsored terrorism have been through diplomatic efforts alone. To disrupt terror networks, they are necessary to hit them with precision strikes at training facilities, launch pads and bases. Hesitation cannot lead to the nation’s security being compromised, decisive action is necessary to protect US citizens and sovereignty from this ongoing menace.

Military Action is Non-Negotiable

Direct military intervention has been shown over past years to be effective in the destruction of terror infrastructure. India has to take on the offensive posture by carrying out preemptive operations to either negate the threat even before it would arise or preempt the hostile activities. Terrorists regroup and attack again after taking reactive measures. However, cross border counter terror operations should only be allowed when necessary approved by our armed forces with clear authorization. There is much more detrimental outcome to inaction than there is risk in unconditionally responding militarily to these breeding grounds of violence.

Isolate Nations Sponsoring Terrorism

India has to work doubly hard to diplomatically isolate those countries where terrorists are harboured and kill the banking system of these countries. We should use multilateral forums to pressure for tougher sanctions and travel bans for terror financiers and handlers. To build international pressure, state sponsored terrorism must be presented to the global bodies systematically. To dismantle these operations, coordinated efforts need to be made with allies to cut down financial networks that are backing these operations. No nation that supports terror against India should be allowed to escape accountability of the world stage.

Strengthen Defenses Along

Preventing infiltration requires border security transformed into a more modernized surveillance technology. The drones, thermal imaging and AI powered monitoring are somehow integrated systems capable of detecting and intercepting threats in real time. Better coordination between the central security agency and the state security agency will reduce time for reaction to suspicious movements. The resources must be put into investments in specialized counterterror units and training programs. Any vulnerability along our sensitive frontiers will be greatly reduced with a multi layered defense approach.

National Resolve to Defeat Terrorism

To fight terrorism, the country must experience national unity and public support for security forces. Taking our gaze away from these divisive narratives, that terrorists use to bring terror, is to live in an era that makes no difference. Community engagement programs can lead to the discovery of attempted radicalization at an early stage. Incidents should be reported by the media in a responsible and non sensational way which does little to help terrorist propaganda. Ultimately, it is up to India’s collective determination for which we do strive to eradicate terrorism, whether we succeed or fail in our efforts to achieve peace, stability.
