Baba Siddique Murder News: His Connections With Underworld
Playing text to speech
In recent news, the assassination of Baba Siddique has sent shockwaves across Maharashtra and the nation at large. Politicians who were once quite active in the regime, Baba Siddique’s assassination, has raised many relevant issues regarding how politics and the criminal underground are interrelated.
Although it is widely perceived to have been a case of power politics, vendetta, or simple rivalry, it was
much more than that. Several media reports painted an image of Baba Siddique as a person involved in terrorism, with investigations tracing his association with organisations like ISIS, resulting in this murder being not just any other.
Some warnings intersect relations between Baba Siddique and terrorist organisations such as Al-Qaeda, and others have for a long time been the stuff of rumour. And there are reports that Siddique maintained such links as communicating with people involved in disguise, ISIS, among other terror organisations. His assassination may have been planned by another terrorist organisation if that wasn't enough.
The murder of Baba Siddique—this is more than just a political event. This is about the rising power of crime and terrorism. Siddique was growing in power in these networks, and that eventually made him a victim of the underworld’s internal power struggle. The state of Maharashtra, for years buried in political corruption, is now at risk of spreading terrorism as well, which raises levels of the game much higher than mere political contests. The events in Maharashtra exemplify the concerns about the lawlessness of the situation in the country with the rule of decision rather than the rule of law. Politicians are no longer just after power; they work with dangerous criminals. This assassination is a glaring example of how far things have messed up.
What's even more concerning is that this is not an isolated case. Maharashtra has seen many politicians either using criminals for influence or falling victim to them once they've outlived their usefulness. The murder of Siddique makes it clear that terror groups are now an integral part of this corrupt system.
What can be done? The murder of Baba Siddique should serve as a wake-up call for both politicians and the public. Politics cannot continue to be controlled by criminals and terrorists. The nexus between politics and crime must be dismantled, and it has to happen quickly. Failure to act quickly enough expresses the mood that Maharashtra will further descend into chaos. Such a murder is likely to be registered as yet another
incident. But this is a far more serious problem for the corrupt system.
Politicians and society as a whole should stand up to the forces that are disrupting the politics and the society of Maharashtra as well as of the entire nation.
