How did West Bengal Change Under Mamata Banerjee?
Playing text to speech
Change is inevitable, growth is optional
Calcutta which was not just the political capital of British India till 1911, but also the financial capital. The Bank of Bengal was much larger than the Bank of Bombay and 40-50% of Indian companies floated here until the early 20th century. At present times, “Industrialists shy away from coming to West Bengal. There is a dire need to change this government to attract investment in the state”, as mentioned by Union Minister, Subhas Sarkar.
In 1965, when Singapore became an independent nation, its PM Lee Kuan Yew, said he wanted to make his city-state like Calcutta. Bengal changed itself from a ‘party society’, to a ‘Bahubali’ society, yet not much rule structure has changed. As per the Realism principle rule of Hans Morgenthau, Bengal ruled by Mamata Banerjee proves it. The authoritarian woman has made Bengal move towards the principle of ‘semi-fascism’ and uses all her power position to crush the opposition, not for the state’s benefit.
State versus State’s leader
Issues of unemployment and labor migration to other states from Bengal can only be solved by better policies and Industries set up in the state.
Bengal people have a vision to bring the BJP into their state since they are the viable and potential alternative for development and social welfare.
Bengal is half of the time accused of corruption, heinous crimes, oppression, sexual aristocrats, and other issues, with unimplemented solutions.
TMC supremo’s model is akin to the “feudal system”, for which Bengal is a classic example of politics abhorrent a vacuum.
The highway of the Midnapore area of WB, which would contain saffron flags, has been replaced by the blue trademark of TMC.
Mamata Didi came to power 10 years ago promising to people for quality improvement and progress, but it happened as a selfish deed. She has misused her power, policy, and perception every day, threatening citizens to cast votes only for her. People who are critics of the government are tortured, and punished in an undemocratic way, just because she hate the opposition.
However, she launched development plans and subsidies for minorities and yes to keep targets for increasing vote banks as well. Earlier, Bihar was famous for election violence, now Bengal for sexual exploitation, riots, chaos, etc.
Therefore, the murder of Hindus is happening across the state, and this has made people insecure. Bengal the glorious land of Tagore, Vivekananda, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, and many others, are losing credibility due to this woman, and her way of directing and shaping the state. Thus, like previous famous personalities of Bengal, every resident presently wants the same vibrant and delightful Kolkata again.
