With Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya making public declarations about their intention to turn Mathura into a pilgrimage destination similar to Ayodhya, the BJP has been outspoken about recovering this area for the Krishna Janmabhoomi.
