Palak Gulia, a sensational 17-year-old, made history in the women's 10m air pistol final by surpassing the previous Games record with an impressive total score of 242.1, ultimately securing the gold medal as well. China's Qian Wang had previously held the record with a score of 240.3 in the 2018 Jakarta event. Japan's Yukari Konishi, achieved a remarkable Asian record of 245.3 in her home country during the year 2017. In the year 2017, in the city of Maribor, Serbia's Zorana Arunovic achieved an impressive score of 246.9, currently holding the world record.

However, in the high jump final at Hangzhou, Sarvesh Anil Kushare achieved a season-best of 2.26m, securing him a fourth-place finish. Jesse Sandesh secured the ninth spot with an impressive jump of 2.19m.

In their third match, the Indian women's kabaddi team emerged victorious against Thailand with a score of 54-22, securing the top position in Group A. Ritu Negi and her team's victory also guaranteed them a successful outcome. Achieving a place in the semi-finals and securing a coveted medal at the Asian Games in 2023.
