India's "Naatu Naatu song" from SS Rajamouli's RRR today became the first Indian film to win an Oscar for best original song at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony.

At today's Oscars in Los Angeles, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his joy over the country's accomplishments. Mr. Modi stated that the song "Naatu Naatu" is worldwide in his congratulations to the entire RRR team for winning the award for best original song. He tweeted that the song would be remembered for a long time.

In addition, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation to the entire team behind the documentary short film The Elephant Whisperers for winning the competition. He praised their work, which, according to him, brilliantly emphasizes the significance of living in harmony with nature and sustainable development.

Amit Shah, Home Minister, has congratulated the RRR and The Elephant Whisperers team on their Oscar win. Mr. Shah referred to it as a turning point in Indian cinema in a tweet. He claimed that the Oscar-winning song Naatu Naatu from the RRR movie made history.

According to the Minister, people all over the world, including Indians, were singing along to the song. Mr. Shah also praised the creators of The Elephant Whisperers for elevating India's efforts to save elephants.

Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, expressed his appreciation to the film RRR for becoming the first Indian production to win an Academy Award for best original song. He has also expressed his excitement and pride at the Oscars' success of Indian cinema today.

Mr. Thakur expressed appreciation in a tweet for the documentary short film The Elephant Whisperers for its depiction of love and coexistence in harmony with nature through the story of baby elephant Raghu and his caretakers, Bomman and Belli.

The award was presented to M. M. Keeravani, the song's composer, and lyricist Chandrabose. Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, the song's playback singers, performed it at the Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, USA, at the Dolby Theatre.

They got a standing ovation for their performance. Deepika Padukone gave the speech at the ceremony about the live performance. RRR is the first Indian film in more than two decades to be nominated for an Oscar, and "Naatu Naatu" was the first Indian song to win an Oscar.

The fictional story is set in the 1920s and is based on the lives of freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju.

The melody, arranged by Prem Rakshith was contending with Commendation from the film Tell It Like A Lady, Hold My Hand from the film Top Firearm: Maverick, from Black Panther, lift me up: Wakanda Forever and This Is Life are taken simultaneously from everywhere and everything.

The Elephant Whisperers, another Indian entry in the Academy Awards, won an Oscar for Best Documentary Short Film.

Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga's 41-minute short documentary looks at the bond that Raghu, an orphaned baby elephant, shares with his caregivers.

Haulout, The Martha Mitchell Effect, Stranger At The Gate, and How Do You Measure A Year were the other four short film nominees. After The House That Ananda Built in 1969 and An Encounter With Faces in 1979, The Elephant Whisperers was the third Indian film to be nominated for an Oscar in this category.
