Ultimately, for programming you don't need the best computer ever made. A powerful processor, storage, a long battery life, a keyboard, and a screen are the most important features a computer needs to code. 

Since the last two can be changed with an external monitor and keyboard, I didn't think much about them when I chose these laptops. A touch screen, a fast refresh rate, a powerful graphics card, and other extras were just that—extras that might be nice to have but weren't necessary. 

I focused on how it would feel to sit down to code and how I would want a laptop with a long battery life, a fast processor to keep up with me, and as much RAM as possible to run multiple applications simultaneously.
