India has made a significant advancement in the field of indigenously developed artificial intelligence bots with the introduction of Lexi. Lexi, developed by the fintech startup Velocity and powered by ChatGPT, aims to provide Velocity Insights users with a personalized and straightforward chat experience.

OpenAI's GPT-3 language model powers Lexi. Lexi is able to comprehend customer requests with a high degree of accuracy and respond in a manner that is more user-friendly as a result. Lexi is a chatbot that supports natural language communication. Lexi can, among other things, answer questions, make suggestions, and do things.

One of its main features is that Lexi can learn from user interactions and provide individualized experiences. The chatbot uses machine learning methods to evaluate user data and improve its performance over time.

This indicates that Lexi becomes more precise and useful with each interaction. The launch of Lexi exemplifies India's growing proficiency in AI and marks a significant turning point in the country's AI research.

Velocity CEO Abhiroop Medhekar said that his team's product team has been thinking about how to use ChatGPT to help customers. Mohit Mohapatra, CEO and Founder of Naturepro, stated in a statement, "Since its launch, Velocity Insights has helped my brand monitor revenue and marketing spends. We combined ChatGPT with the same interface that Velocity clients use to direct business decisions." I can use AI as a personal assistant whenever I need assistance with my business now that ChatGPT has been integrated. For instance, I have been using the integration every day to write copy and gather responses to questions about performance marketing,” he added.

In just two months, OpenAI's ChatGPT has received over 590 million visits from users. Microsoft has also included the AI model in its Bing search engine to make it easier to use. And not just the huge company in Redmond. Additionally, Google intends to launch Bard, a chatbot with conversational AI. The service provided by Google is currently available to a select few customers and will probably be integrated into Google Search.

Users of Velocity's platform already receive a daily WhatsApp business report. Velocity users gain these insights in a more conversational manner by integrating ChatGPT's generative capabilities.

ChatGPT has received a number of India-specific updates in addition to Velocity's integration.

The country's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is working on a ChatGPT-based WhatsApp-based chatbot, according to local reports.

Voice notes would allow users to ask questions, which is a crucial feature for rural users who are less literate.
