Adani Group ranked as India’s fourth largest conglomerate is all set to be the front-runner in India’s development projects for 2023. With over $35 billion worth of ambitious projects, from airports and ports to solar power plants and information technology parks, Adani promises a future of progress that will benefit the Indian economy greatly

Here are the lists of projects that Adani is considering it in 2023:

5G services

In addition to rolling out 5G services and launching B2C apps, Gautam Adani stated that they will invest in expanding the network of data centers, and developing capabilities in AI-ML, and industrial cloud. He stated, "All of these are the big ticket, independent, but connected digital opportunities that are supported by proximity in the energy industry."

When it participated in 5G auctions in 2022, the energy-to-consumer goods conglomerate based in Gujarat surprised established players in the industry. Adani spent Rs 2.12 billion to acquire 400MHz spectrum in the mm-wave band, but the conglomerate is unable to provide consumer telephony because it has not purchased spectrum in all 5G bands. Adani intends to offer businesses private network services.

Water segment projects

Adani intends to enter the water market because infrastructure is an important part of its core business.

The group is interested in all aspects of infrastructure, including power generation and distribution, roads, expressways, ports, and airports. The group is the largest private sector player in airports and ports.

Jugeshinder Singh, group chief financial officer, stated to the media from Milan that the company had set a price range for the Rs 20,000-crore issue of Rs 3,112-3,276 per share.

On January 27, the FPO will open for subscriptions and close on January 31.

Alumina Refinery and Iron ore projects, Odisha

With the state government's approval, the Adani Group plans to invest Rs 57,575 crore in Odisha to establish two projects: a 4 MMTPA integrated alumina refinery and a 30 MMTPA iron ore (value addition) project.

These projects are in line with our vision of Atmanirbharta because metals are essential commodities in which our nation must be self-sufficient. It is also a great complement to the renewable energy we can generate and contributes to the production of the greenest alumina anywhere because it is a power-intensive business.

In Odisha, our capital investment will open up tens of thousands of indirect employment opportunities and create 9,300 direct jobs, Adani stated in a statement

Smelter-grade (Metallurgical Grade) alumina will be produced by the 4 MMTPA integrated alumina refinery, which will be constructed close to potential bauxite reserves or operational mines. This will assist India in moving toward import substitution.

An iron ore beneficiation plant that produces iron ore concentrate, a slurry pipeline for iron ore concentrate slurry, and a dewatering/filtration & pellet plant that produces filter cake and pellet are all parts of the 30 MMTPA iron ore (value addition) project.

The iron ore beneficiation plant will be in Deojhar, in the Keonjhar district of northern Odisha, while the pellet plant will be in Dhamra, in the Bhadrak district that is adjacent. According to the company, the slurry pipeline will run along the utility corridor of the roads that connect Deojhar and Dhamra.

According to a tweet that was published on Twitter on Wednesday by the office of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the flagship company of the Adani Group received approval to construct the refinery as well as a captive power plant in Rayagada for an investment of $5.2 billion. The refinery will have a 4 million-ton annual capacity.

Solar Power Plant Project, Rajasthan

Over the next five to seven years, Gautam Adani will invest Rs 65,000 crore in Rajasthan to build a massive 10,000 MW solar power capacity, expand a cement plant, and upgrade the Jaipur airport.

Adani's ports-to-energy conglomerate invested in city gas infrastructure for retailing compressed natural gas (CNG) to automobiles, piped gas to homes and businesses, and transmission lines for renewable power transmission.

He said that the Adani group already has a significant presence in the state when he spoke at the Invest Rajasthan 2022 Summit. It supplies coal to the state's power-generating units, has established a solar park, and runs a thermal power plant.

In order to add 10,000 megawatts of renewable power generation capacity, Adani Group is making an investment of Rs 50,000 crore.

This will be commissioned progressively over the next five years," he said, adding that the group recently put the world's largest wind-solar hybrid power plant in Rajasthan into commercial operation.

In addition, following its acquisition of Ambuja Cements and ACC, it intends to double its cement manufacturing capacity.

He believes that A significant portion of our capacity expansion will continue to take place in Rajasthan, even though we already have three cement plants and limestone mining assets. To double our cement manufacturing capacity in the state, we anticipate investing another Rs 7,000 crore

Mumbai Projects

With a bid of 5,069 crore, Adani Realty was awarded the contract to redevelop the Dharavi slums. Over the course of 17 years, the project will rehabilitate one million Dharavi residents, including 60,000 residential and 13,000 commercial residents, and redevelop 240 hectares of prime land in the heart of Mumbai.

In addition to the DRP project, the Adani conglomerate is involved in the construction of the Navi Mumbai international airport, which is expected to cost 16,700 crore rupees. Adani Airports acquired the project from the GVK group. It also includes the redevelopment of the airport-adjacent land.

Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited applied for a distribution license for Navi Mumbai and Thane after deciding to expand beyond the Mumbai suburbs.

The employees of the state-owned electricity company have strongly objected to Adani's proposal to acquire the network that distributes electricity in that region.
