Why Secularism is like cancer in India?
Playing text to speech
By definition secularism means “the principle of separation of the state from religious institutions”. According to our constitution, it aspires to ensure the justice, equality, and liberty of all people. However, does implicit law state the same thing? No. Donations made to temples fall under direct government control. Even after 75 years of independence, this English-made law remains in place. This generates around $40 billion in revenue, or 2.32 percent of the GDP. Brahmins who work and serve Ishwar and the public receive no compensation for their labour. Whereas the government pays maulanas wages and maintenance for madrasas so they can run their 'business'. In 2019, the AAP government raised the imams' salary pay from 10k to 18k rupees and maintenance of 9k just before the elections. To favour one community over another in order to get votes is common in India. If we look at Nupur Sharma's case, she only mentioned Quranic passages. She afterwards received criticism and humiliation from the Supreme Court. Regrettably, the same court warned Akbaruddin Owaisi against making controversial statements in the future keeping in view of the national integrity
In a single nation, there cannot be two law boards. This directly contravenes the constitution's tenet that every citizen is first and foremost an Indian. How then are there two distinct laws?
In terms of being secular, India's laws have been crafted in a way that the majority of the population has become a second-class citizen in its own nation, while minorities are given absolute favour. Justice, which its citizens demand from the court, was also denied to Kashmiri Hindus.
The place of worship act is in itself contradictory to constitution. Waqf board owns third largest land in this country and still claims villages and Hindu religious sites as its own. Can Hindu ever claim their temples which is under those mosques? Can believers ever worship their deity which has been adored for hundred of years at that precise place? Giving citizens equality does not require taking their rights away from the majority. Hindu beliefs are insulted in the name of secularism and they are expected to be tolerant.
Everyone makes fun of Hindu gods, from actors in Bollywood to comedians to politicians to police personnel. Amir Khan makes mockery of Hinduism throughout the majority of PK, whereas he doesn’t even go inside the mosque. In the sake of humour, comedians denigrate gods. However, when it comes to other religions, they are aware of their limitations, they know Hindus are tolerant and won’t do anything, they know a word from their mouth can lead to sar tan se juda but then also Hindus are vicious and Muslims are victims.
West Bengal is becoming another Kashmir. In the last few years, the number of Hindus departing West Bengal has skyrocketed; this is a complete failure of government. India is greatly threatened by the 2 crore illegal Bangladeshis living in India. According to reports, these illegal Bangladeshi migrants and their progeny are increasingly committing rapes, molestations, murders, dacoities, thefts, and abductions in Assam. In West Bengal, several smugglers and immigrants were apprehended. The central government then increased the level of border patrolling. Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, later declared that she would forbid the BSF from operating inside 50 kilometres of the international border.
It is well known that the majority of the recent Hindu-Muslim riots took place in West Bengal, where numerous Hindus were murdered, raped, and threatened. A Supreme Court judge removed herself from hearing the post-poll violence case in Bengal in which BJP members were allegedly slain and females were raped. What’s happening in West Bengal is exceedingly questionable.
