Diplomatic Path Ahead For India

Playing text to speech

On Tuesday, the virtual meeting of the foreign ministers of India, Russia, and China was already scheduled, but in the current environment, this cause became a sensational event.

The Foreign Ministers of the two countries sat together for the first time after the martyrdom of 20 Indian soldiers in a violent clash between Indian and Chinese local troops in the Galvan Valley last week.

However, it was a trilateral meeting in which bilateral issues were not to be raised. Anyway, if there is a dispute or dispute between two big and powerful countries, the best way to resolve it is through mutual talks.

The best thing in the current context is that even after the unfortunate clash on the border, the dialogue is going on in both countries. Negotiations are going on continuously at different levels.

Obviously, China has hurt India with its attitude. Realizing this as soon as possible is the test of India's diplomatic success. Given the glorious past of Indian diplomacy, there is no reason to doubt its success in this matter. But the other side of the coin is that the current phase is taking a very rigorous examination of Indian diplomacy.

China is just one front of it, besides many other fronts are also creating problems for Indian diplomacy. The OIC, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, has a slightly more inclined approach towards Pakistan than India on the Kashmir issue, but through its close friendship with many Muslim countries, India has been ensuring that the platform is used against its interests Can not be done. This chain has suddenly broken here.

Recently, an OIC committee called not only an emergency meeting at the behest of Pakistan but also passed a very strong resolution against the Government of India's stand on Article 370.

On the other hand, the government of Nepal, our closest neighbor country, got the disputed map through a constitutional amendment passed in its parliament without negotiating with India on a dispute related to the Indo-Nepal border area.

On the third side, America, which has described India as its friend on every platform, has taken many such steps in the last few days which affect Indian interests.

In the latest judgment, it has banned H-1B visa for one year, which will cause a lot of damage to Indian software companies. Certainly, all these cases have different backgrounds and not one of them is where the road to improve the situation is closed.

But there is no doubt that the diplomatic path ahead is very difficult for Indian diplomats. China's diplomatic front will also come to our hands only when our position on other fronts remains strong.
