Black Or White No US Citizen Equal In Front Of Law

Playing text to speech

Riot is the language of those who are not heard. About five decades ago these words were uttered by Martin Luther King Jr., a leader fighting for civil rights. In fact, during one of his speeches, he was explaining why black people in America take to the streets.

It is unfortunate to see how the conditions have improved since then. Once again, thousands of people are demonstrating against racism and police brutality. Once again, those people have little hope of change.

Their life expectancy will be shorter and the chances of going to jail will be more, that too with a longer sentence.

All of this will happen because they are not white. According to one commentator, black people are not demonstrating in a dozen cities in the United States, despite being treated as secondary citizens.

They are performing because they are really second class citizens. Officially, every American citizen is equal before the law. But in reality, the US police stop people on the streets because of their color and look. They are prevented even if they are not suspicious.

If the police committed a barbaric mistake during the arrest, as in the case of George Floyd, she denies it. The case gets worse in the local district attorney's office, where attempts are made to suppress such cases.

There is no independent organization overseeing local administration in the US. All the lawbreakers are sitting in the police system, pretending to be the keepers of the law. There are many white people who have tolerated the disgusting antics of these officers.

Martin Luther King Jr. in his address was referring to the majority of the American public, 'he who accepts wickedness without protest is actually cooperating with them.' But demonstrating against wickedness is enough No, it has to be stopped.

Barack Obama tried to do this but ultimately failed. During his tenure, Michael Brown, an 18-year-old unarmed black man in Ferguson, was shot eight times. After that, there were demonstrations across the country.

At the same time, a black New Yorker, Eric Garner, was strangled by a police officer. Before death, Garner said, "I can't breathe." These were the same words of Floyd, whose death would ignite the current spark.

The US President may be the head of the world's most powerful army, but he is helpless in the face of racism committed by his own countrymen. Surely they should condemn this injustice and sympathize with the family who has become victims of police brutality, but only if they think of trying to calm the anger and emotions.

But as it seemed, President Trump had failed miserably in this matter. Their sympathy is the same as the falling of a meteorite in a flower garden. Trump still has dreams of becoming president again and feels that he will be able to woo white voters with his military ragas.
