Most of the daily operations are being done online through the unprecedented infection of Coronavirus. Although it has helped to keep life normal, one of the side effects is that they have come under the target of cybercriminals, and cases of digital fraud have increased.

In the era of this epidemic, the true color of hackers is rapidly coming to the fore. They have developed techniques to rob bank accounts by combining fear of people, changed habits and needs.

They are now active in a new way by creating COVID themes. Many changes have been made for this, such as the actual look. From hacking, mail fishing, to emotional hypnotizing, they are working as a large organization to recover the money, including many middlemen performing reference and search engine optimization.

Cyber thugs have conspired to hack computers, smartphones, or bank accounts. Their effort is to spread the public terror of the global epidemic and make people a victim. However, in this regard, experts from a Bangalore-based IT company warned in March itself. Google also warned that the epidemic has caused worldwide flooding of phishing.

Every day one million eight million emails were sent to Gmail users in search of the victim about the epidemic of Covid-19. Google also blocked a large number of such emails. There are many types of fishing emails sent by fraudsters, some of which are sent to the World Health Organization, governmental organizations, NGOs, etc. Seeing this, the victim falls into the trap. The fraudsters ask for a ransom as soon as someone clicks on the software associated with it.

Their technical investigation found that cybercriminals used the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, an actual organization in the US in the form of email snorts detailing the Coronavirus. Unless someone clicks on his domain, it seems legitimate at first sight. After that an Outlook login page opens.

This is a phishing page which means the theft of email credentials. Phishing emails exploit a scared human's feelings. At times, it is also caught in the trap of attractive offers.

Especially OTT platforms, games, digital dating, bumper prizes, etc. are also implicated. At the time of the launch of the offer, we get the full details of the debit or credit card. In this way they subscribe to their upcoming plan even before the offer is received.

Phishing is a term used to capture sensitive information such as your bank account details or password, taking into account legitimate-looking emails.

On seeing this, it seems as if it has been sent by a trusted institution, bank or department of government, etc. so that it can be easily trusted. A different form of phishing is smishing, whose technique is similar to that, just hypnotizing things are done through phone calls.

Meanwhile, cybercriminals have targeted people of Asian countries by adopting new technology.

A report has predicted that along with the outbreak of the pandemic, cybercriminals have spread malware related to the Coronavirus in Bangladesh and Vietnam and Malaysia, including India.
