The brutal killing of three people including two sadhus in Palghar in Maharashtra shook the country. Sadhubhava has special significance in the philosophy of life of India.

The killing of sadhus by the mob in the presence of police here is also indicative of the social decline over time. Several worrying aspects of this incident have come to light. Despite the capture of the sadhus by the fierce mob, not enough police force was called to the forest department post for about four hours. The report was delayed and the incident was initially broadcast as a murder by a mob of three 'thieves' while offering insults at the heinous crime.

The entire emphasis of governance was to cover the possible social and political consequences of the incident. The rumor of child theft was first cited as the reason for the tribals to gather, then the rumor of kidnapping was outlined for the purpose of stealing the kidneys. After some time, news started coming in that the tribals here have been against the movement of government employees in the past. 

After the killing of the sadhus, there seemed to be a slight, but news of serious dimensions also came to the fore that most of the Adivasis of the area had converted to Christianity and did not like outsiders to intervene within the village.

News also came that a Christian NGO named after the tenants has taken up the legal battle of the accused. In the familiar style of Naxalites, by this organization, the government staff is called the enemy of the tribal class. He calls the Hindu organizations' attempts to instill hatred among the tribals towards Hinduism and connect them to the mainstream of Hinduism as ethnic genocide. 

He not only disseminates the tribals from the Hindus but also propagates them in order to trick them into believing that the Hindus consider them to be descendants of the Asuras. Supporters of this organization have been accused of attacks by followers of a Vaishnava sect called 'Mahanubhav Panth' in the area. The followers of this cult wearing Tulsi garlands have been targeting him because he has opposed the conversion. 

The fact is that this organization's alliance with the CPI (M) has strengthened the Marxists in the Dahanu assembly constituency of Palghar district. In the last four assembly elections, twice the Marxist candidate has been successful here. Even today, Marxist Vinod Nikolay is an MLA from Dahanu. With this nexus, the influence of the proselytizing mafia created a state of anarchy, sedition, and apostasy in the region that led to the killing of the monks. 

Tribals are prohibited from keeping ration cards, Aadhaar, and other government certificates. On opposing this, seven tribals including a sarpanch were killed in West Singhbhum in January this year. It is alleged that the attack and gang-rapes on the house of Khunti and BJP MP Karia Munda was also done by the Pathalgadi agitators for the purpose of teaching a lesson. The Maoists' support of the missionaries is well known here. 

In view of the nationwide dimensions of the Palghar scandal and the local influence of proselytizing organizations, the investigation by the state CID will not be fair, but overall.

Even if justice is done, only those tribals who have been used as pawns in a nationwide conspiracy. If, like the killing of Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati, these murders were also allowed to be treated as ordinary crimes, then it would be a huge mistake.
