This is the story of Milan, Italy's one of the most influential city and one of the fashion capital of the world, Milan is under quarantine like any rest of Itlay after the gruesome outbreak of Coronavirus in the country. Italy is the worst Coronavirus affected country in the world after China, the death toll reached latest 1,016 in all the 15,113 cases found to be positive. Italian government announced complete lockdown of the cities, people movement and public gathering are strictly restricted, all business from the club, restaurant, retail shops to beauty salons asked to be shut down, for some this might feel as brutal or sort of utter humiliation, but for the Italian government this is the one way to minimize the spread of the pandemic. 

The stories of panic are not just only limited to Italy, but there is unprecedented anxiety around the world. The Coronavirus which now classified as “Pandemic” by the World Health Organization, placed the world into an unthinkable halt, from travel, sports, stock markets, fashion everything already suffering a “slow down”.

The governments around the globe are frightened, and alarmed and constrain to take some prodigious steps: most common action that countries are taking is restricting the entry of foreigners, for instance India decided to cancel existing visa applications till 15th of April, the US restricted all the travel from Europe expect Britain, many middle eastern nation too restricted foreigners entry from affected countries like China, Italy and South Korea. Sporting world suffering a heavy blow, countries suspending some of most grand sporting events, like in the US whole NBA season got abandoned, in Europe world most the prestigious football tournament “UEFA Champions League” along with” Europa league” is on the verge of being facing suspension; already major football leagues like La Liga and Seria A got suspended due to the outbreak inside Europe.

In India too many sporting tournaments comes under an eye, like the final of Indian Super League will be play under the closed stadium, Indian cricket team will too play it's matches against South Africa inside the empty stadiumm, most speculated is the fate of the coming season of IPL, as organizers are under fear of it's possible suspension. These surely are dingy days if you are a sports fan, and equally frustrating if you crave for travel.

This never seen lockdown and measures of quarantine is most hurting the world financial markets, and contributing enough in the already unprecedented slowing of the world economy. Due to travel restrictions the world supply chain is badly under siege, the business operations across the US, Asia and Europe is under disruption and facing closures due to shortages of components and workers that under quarantine.

The sudden downgrade in the Oil prices by the Opec club and hike in the new Oil-war", along with disturbance due to coronavirus just punching all the major Stock markets around the world,  from New York to Beijing everywhere the investors trust at it's record low. Many big airlines suffered a heavy loses as passengers movement has fallen apart, an airline like Lufthansa compelled to cancel more than 20,000 of it's flights, Boeing lost it all fifth of its market value in a single day, Korean air made to cancel all its 80% of the flights, from everywhere scenes of empty planes and lonely airports is just depicting the crisis.

The governments are doing best by cutting in the interest rate as a short-term measure, but nothing seems to be working, the world is now on the verge of facing the worst economic recession after the 2008 economic meltdown. The coronavirus might not be killing us all directly, but it wrecking the very idea of “globalization”, the very idea of global family is seemingly tearing apart, no one is caring for each other instead countries choosing the path of nationalism and protectionism. Each harnessing its self-interests and nobody even thought about only coming together will heal the crisis.
