An Engineering Girl: The Inside Point
Playing text to speech
A girl chooses to be an Engineer for her self respect. Many so-called stakeholders of the society think that a girl cannot do anything at all but if the girl decides what she can do then she will definitely do it. Irrespective of what this hypocrite society does or think regarding it.
Usually, the Indian girls when choosing the engineering field also think that engineering could be fun. But in reality, the engineering field is very hard. A girl engineering student faces challenges but with self-exploration, determination, motivation she proves the society wrong.

For a girl doing engineering is not an easy way of getting success or self-achievement as on the way towards it, she keeps on sacrificing more and more. The price she has to pay through her sacrifices cannot be understood or judged by a non-engineering person.
The best example would be of the fictional character Sanyukta Agarwal, who just wished to be a mechanical engineer but her father never supported her being patriarchal and discriminative. Even her mother's death could not change his ill mindset but Sanyukta held on till the end, proving all odds wrong to fulfill her dream of becoming a mechanical engineer.
If coming to reality engineering topics are also too hard to handle the girl who is doing engineering makes the notes, refers to the books, refers to the websites and studies a lot during day and night.
Engineering is not just a degree for a girl it is confidence for her to live in this society. The girls of our society struggles a lot to achieve their dreams. That’s why the girl chooses to be an engineer. And one day girl achieves their goal as engineers to live a life proudly in this society which firstly discourages them but eventually upon their achievement bows down with acceptance.
This was a memoir talk with one of my passed away friends, Gitanjali who was also a mechanical engineer having graduated from the prestigious and well-known Delhi Technical University, batch 2014-15. Let her soul rest in peace. Her only wish was to see every girl engineering student in the engineering colleges across the NITs, IITs, IIITs and even the private rich ones.
She always believed in the mantra that more the engineering sector is powered by the female power, the more nation, and this society progresses as we develop with the full population and not just half! Miss and love you Gitanjali.
