Currently, China is the most populous country and India holding the second position. But the way India is making progress in the population increase will surpass China by 2027. As per the report by United Nation that, by 2050, India will become unbeatable in terms of population and reach a figure of 1.64 Billion. The population of India has grown by many folds since 1950, and it is expected that it will keep on growing till 2050.

As I saw a report, a few days ago on news channel and for me it has been very surprising to see this and how fast as a country we are growing rather than fast we are growing in terms of population. It needs a serious look after from the Indian Authorities because if the pace of population is going to be like this, then it won’t be possible for India to become a developed country in near future.

Even the reports, also mentioned that the world’s population growth between 2015 to 2050 is expected to be concentrated over 9 countries; India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, United States, Indonesia, and Uganda. The most worrisome part of the report is that the population of 28 African Countries is expected to grow more than double of itself. As well as, by 2100, 10 African countries might reach the population growth by at least a factor of five.

If we consider the point of geographical areas to age ratio of population, India is leading other countries in terms of the young generation where the working-age population (25-64 years) is growing faster than other groups. The young age group is creating an opportunity for the country in accelerating economic growth. However, the “demographic dividend” will attain its peak by 2047 in the region, which means that countries like India must rush to invest in education and health, especially for young people to maintain the balance.

Apart from having a great workforce, India is also having a huge population under the category of Illiteracy, and underprivileged. Both these categories are majorly responsible for the growth of the population at such a great pace. And, these problems could get worse if the population of the country has been not put on a strict direction. Otherwise, nothing can stop India to become a country where people won’t get even a tiny place to live, required water to drink, good education, job, and a good life as well.

Whereas, the substantial improvements in life expectancy has increased in recent years. Globally, life expectancy at birth has risen from 65 years for men and 69 years for women in 2000-2005 to 69 years for men and 73 years for women in 2010-2015. This also counts as the rapid increase in population all over the world. And, where India is concerned, there is no doubt that the population is growing like leaps and bounds.

The government needs to look after this problem with great concern, as it won’t be possible to provide assistance and help to each and every person if the population continues to grow like this. And, with this pace, India will never become a Developed Country until the population the biggest problem has been not managed with proper focus. Eventually, it gives an eye for various problems as well, like Poverty, Illiteracy, Improper Healthcare, Unemployment, Corruption, Illegal Activities, Crime Rate Growth, and various other problems arise in daily life concern.
