Gujarat govt plans to launch underwater tourism in Dwarka

The Gujarat government and Mazgaon Dock Limited are planning to open India's first underwater tourism attraction before Diwali 2024.

It focused on marine life in the vicinity of Bet Dwarka, a Hindu legendary island off the coast of Dwarka.

The 35-tonne submarine can carry 30 passengers, including 24 tourists, in two rows with window seats for a good view.

It would allow visitors to see the aquatic life around the island by diving 100 metres beneath the surface of the water in a submarine.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, set for January 10-12, 2024, will unveil the details of Gujarat's submarine tourist project.
