The Ganga River, a revered Hindu river, flows through Uttarakhand, India, specifically the Himalayan Mountains.
On the precise site of origin, there are two basic points of view:
1. The main Ganga begins at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet, highlighting the importance of their combined flow.
2. The celestial Ganga, according to religious beliefs, starts in the Bhagirathi River, which flows from the Gaumukh glacier at a peak of 3,893 metres
The Ganges River joins the Brahmaputra River in Bangladesh after reaching the Bay of Bengal, forming the world's largest Ganges-Brahmaputra delta.
