Job Found and Vote Lost

Playing text to speech

Looking for a good job, then you have to migrate from your city. This is the common scenario in the whole country, whether the job is in Government Sector or in Private Sector. You can’t get a job in your city, you have to look for other cities to settle there and lose your voting right after migrating from your home town. It causes a huge loss of vote counts during elections.

Many people are in the run from one city to another just for the sake of a good job, which makes them not to cast their votes. As the figures of 2014 elections show that, about 280 Million registered voters didn’t cast their votes due to many reasons, but the main reason was that at that time they were not at their native place. It is a matter of concern. Overall, it was concluded that the single-largest party in the election was the Non-Voters Party.

The number of Non-Voters gives a perception that the younger generation of India is least concerned about the election. But is it really true? In the present scenario, the young generation is taking much more interested in the activities of the government as compared to the older generation. The problem is that the young generation is on run for their career and future, for them the priority is a career like others have. So, the loss of vote requires a solution by the government to allow them to cast their votes, while they are on the run for their future.

However, people are voicing themselves to allow them to vote while being in the other city as well. This will minimize the loss of votes as well as can increase the participation of the young generation in the elections.

Job Found and Vote Lost

Being an entity of the younger generation, I too feel that I couldn’t utilize my right while being on the run for my career growth. Sometimes, it makes me feel how irresponsible and selfish I am who couldn’t cast a vote and make myself count in the making of new India. I want to ask, if our ID’s, Bank Account, even Aadhaar Number remains intact with us while being on move, then why the voting rights have been taken from us, just because I am not at my home town. So, I completely support the campaign to allow people to cast their votes from other cities as well.

It is a humble request to all the people who are losing the chance of voting, should contribute their presence in the campaign and make the Government and the Supreme Court of India take a serious look over the issue and a concrete action towards this concern. Make yourself count in the making of the new India, and it will give you a good feeling of proud.

Casting your vote and allowing the right government in power, will not only beneficial for you, but also for the whole country, the Security Persons of the Country, the NRIs of the Country, and every single individual.
